    That French translation of Fandaniel makes me wonder if his endgame is to destroy everything then have Zodiark completely remake existence after consuming the wayward souls and aether that are left in the aftermath.

    Yeah that's kind of the angle I'm leaning towards. Since Zodiarks raison d'être is to save the world and provide salvation. If Fandaniel blows up said world and across Hydaelyn people begin praying for someone to save them I would assume all these hopes and prayers would fuel the big man himself just like it did back in Amaurot.
