We're talking about the voice at the 2 minute mark? Because that doesn't even sound like the same voice actress, let alone the same character. It's probably just someone new.

Is the final sentence before the title drop actually Fandaniel for the FR version? It's slightly different.
In the JP version, you can clearly say those are different voices and since FR version is more than often closer to the JP version...
It sounds closer to the guy standing in front of the garlemald flag in judge armor (around 2:20)
Yeah it's probably not Fandaniel, but it's also not Emet, so who is it?![]()

Adding to derail: German version goes with the term for young man as well, hinting at him being anywhere from 18 to 27. He was younger than most of the Convocation, but that was about it. We see in Amaurot that Amaurotines act way different when addressing actual children.
Him being that small after Seat of Sacrifice is most likely clever symbolism of how much of 'him' was lost over the years as Zodiark's heart.
I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.

I'm going to add the final point to that derail and point out Elidibus is also called a young man in the French version, implying late teens at least.
Very much agree with this, if you play the two lines back to back in Japanese it's clearly the same voice speaking, and it certainly isn't Emet or Asahi-Fandaniel.Is the final sentence before the title drop actually Fandaniel for the FR version? It's slightly different.

Speaking of, I can't say I identified Fandaniel's voice at any point in the trailer (playing with Japanese VA), but there is indeed the possibility that he could at some point stop being (and sounding like) Asahi.
The part about Zodiark, before the mysterious last line, is very much Elidibus in Japanese, unless I am having severe hallucinations.
I guess we can all agree that it's hard to clearly determine voices by just a single line, unless they are really distinctive. German Elidibus is one such distinctive voice and I definitely don't hear it in the trailer.
It's especially difficult when the casting is based on similar characteristics, e.g. that voice that is clearly supposed to be a young girl and sounds similar to Ryne.

I wouldn't assume it's Anima from the trailer, since those are known to throw some red herrings and also use very different speakers from very different scenes over trailer footage. Unless this time is different to throw us off...

After looking at the trailer a few times, that voice from 1:50 is a deeper voice Tataru, she is playing a bigger part in EW and I think she is not a primal or Zodiark (Time for my tin hat)
My theory about Tataru
I think she is part of the Forum as a spy for them to keep them inform about the movements of the Scions and other business that affect them. She is very talented in many different ways and she has qualities of a spy. She could be feeding them with information about WOL. I just guess, I might be totally wrong about it but this is one possibility.

But she wasn't apart of the Circle of Knowing part of the Scions, she was from the Path of the Twelve part. It would be weird if the forum just sent a spy to scope out some random religious group and then somehow got mixed up with a bunch of Sharlayan scholars who do activities that the Forum probably doesn't approve of.After looking at the trailer a few times, that voice from 1:50 is a deeper voice Tataru, she is playing a bigger part in EW and I think she is not a primal or Zodiark (Time for my tin hat)

I don't agree with the theory, but playing devil's advocate, that actually kinda makes sense if you assume Sharlayan has some connection to Venat/Hydaelyn (who would be aware of Minfilia's significance, whatever it ends up being). Unless we're just thinking Minfilia has no larger relevance to the plot besides "Got taken by Hydaelyn once and then went to the first". If Minfilia was important to Hydaelyn and Hydaelyn had a connection to Sharlayan then you might see Sharlayan send a spy to Minfilia's side. It's a silly theory though and obviously there's zero evidence for it.But she wasn't apart of the Circle of Knowing part of the Scions, she was from the Path of the Twelve part.
