It's cumulative. They said they were back on track to be clockwork with 5.3. That wasn't the case. We are now going to have a year plus between some staple content, by far the longest we've ever had.
They are developing an MMO game, making sure everything works so everyone could have a great experience. Things like that happen. Nothing bad about it.
Omg due to sheer luck, my boss didn't get to do the schedule yesterday and I was able to change my time off.
I might even get MORE time off now!
Sending vibes to the rest of y'all!
Don't change the date again SE, pls x_x

~sigh~
Well when they have a relatively strong track record to compare themselves against one can't be blamed for a customer and fan being a bit annoyed with how this has been handled.
I dont have a problem with the delay, it happens all the time in the industry. What I do have a problem with is announcing it 2 weeks before launch. This needed to be done much earlier, preferably a month in advance.
There's the argument: maybe we can make it in time. But then if you can't, there's a lot less good-will compared to announcing it well in advance.
Guys, I have cereal leeks on why they delayed, they're adding ERP to PF!

Tacos?
Customers will be annoyed no matter what. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'd rather see them fixing issues before the expansion hit, rather than not being able to proceed through the story like it was with Stormblood launch. I was there and I too stood in the queue.
That's not what's being fixed at all though lol
There's this weird dichotomy like if these two weeks didn't happen we'd have Raubahn again and it's like... if it was that bad they'd probably need more than two weeks to fix it.
Especially when Yoshida went on record to specifically say it was nothing like that, they're just running general qa late because he went over the lore with a fine toothed comb.
they want to extend it by two weeks essentially to do final QA on story text/Flavor text not some game breaking bug or some early instance clogging issue they have learn there lesson about that
