What you did was not a "challenge," it was griefing. You accomplished nothing, and instead simply showed up demanding that everyone you party with pick up the slack for you instead. Again, this is not a "challenge." There is no skill whatsoever involved on your end.. None.

I was with you on this challenge, right up until I read the part where you mentioned doing this in Duty Finder dungeons. If you want to challenge yourself by forgoing your Paladin quests and sticking to Gladiator to 80, more power to you, but springing this on unsuspecting party members to essentially carry you through it all isn't a challenge, it's just laziness. It takes away all sense of accomplishment this could have had doing this on your own.

I don't doubt dungeons are still 'do-able' as long as you're wearing level appropriate gear and observing mechanics, but 'can I do this' and 'should I do this' are 2 entirely separate questions.

And if you wanted to see if you could still do the dungeons, you should have enlisted the aid of willing participants to join you on this journey rather than random strangers who had no say in this.

Now I have few words for people, who get offended by me playing my way. Please understand that I have same rights to play my game any way I want to. It is not up to you to judge what I can or cannot do in game.

By joining group content, with an inefficient build you are ruining the experience for others. If I see this, I will vote abandon if you are a tank or healer, or I will vote kick if you are DPS.

I can understand you may think you are right and that you may think it is unwise to not play the most efficient way, but it is not your place to force me or anybody else to play the way you want me or anyone else to play.

By joining group content, your choices affect others. If you challenge yourself and grind up on side quests and fates, I don't care, but do not do group content with a jobless build. You hit that queue button, you are harming others.

Had a gladiator in dzemael darkhold. It was an excruciating time. Healer and dps did most of the work, they were just a bad dps. And then the joy of finding the perfect spot to stand under the last boss so it would just spin and cleave anyone. I didn't even know it was possible to get a boss to just spin non stop.




On a side note isn't this the kind of thing you do with friends for fun and not inflict on randoms?

Part of me wishes they’d just lock lv30+ gears to job stone classes. That way, other than severely handicapping themselves, they’d also not be able to meet the ilv requirement for higher contents.

They do just this to all relic weapons (I.e lngrimm is unequippable by a CNJ) surely it’d be possible to do the same for every other pieces, is it not?

I saw a gladiator doing an adequate job of tanking Orbonne Monastery back when it was new content. What's challenging about doing it in normal dungeons?
