Yes every opinion is valid, I stand behind that. But we have to find common ground and agree somewhere. There needs to be some major general consensus on what we want or not. Do we want much of the same, which is 5.0 DRK? Or something different in the context of what's interesting to all of us? Granted, my approach is a bit radical, I understand. But the entire reason we have this problem is because the developers think that's the DRK everyone wants. You have to say uncomfortable things to break the monotony sometimes, it's how you get attention sometimes.

Anyhow, yes I am jaded. Why do you think I picked DRK? Because I'm a good boy? Please. If we want to have a whiff or sliver of getting our desired wishes, we need to re-approach this issue from a selfish point of view. I'm not shooting down other ideas, but we have this lazy rework, are we gonna take the expansions in a realistic, self-contained way or see if they can come up with new things? We are on the losing end because someone is getting what they want and we don't. And those aren't the type of people who come here asking for anything.

You literally said everyones ideas were just fanfiction and not helpful at all. You literally said it. You refute claims that say the job only needs a little attention by saying it needs to be torn down and rebuilt or it will still suck, but now are trying to say you think all opinions are valid. Being a DRK is jaded. You get sick of stuff, you don't play by convential rules. But that's something I threw in randomly.

It's essentially either fanfiction or keeping 5.0 DRK. You either have this guy creating and entire thread with what they want, which I respect by the way. I'm trying to say people should be a little bit more selfish in what they want. What's the point of coming to this forum if you're basically self-defeating in your own interests? And then moan and cry because you didn't get what you wanted when you no intention of asking for anything. Yeah, people are happy with this job bla bla, but are you? That's the question. How you illustrate your opinion is irrelevant, do you take issue with this job or not?

Did our different and diverse opinions get us anywhere? Of course not. Now if the developers saw players having universal agreements on one issue; that's better. Or let's be a bit more radical and throw 5.0 DRK out of the window. Now there's a chance it can get worse but I highly doubt it. They're now familiar with their playerbase concerning this job. You have like-minded people which is more important and actually gets shit done.

You either ask for what you want, or you don't. Small alterations to this job can only get us so far. I'm skeptical there's much to be extracted from this iteration.

I really think Delirium is not that bad. Look at PLD. It has A LOT of button mashing in its rotation (3*Atonement, 4*Holy Spirit, and now 4*Confiteor), and it's not an issue I have ever seen people complain about.
Delirium, IR, Req....all the same, especially now that they are all on 60s.
The main problem with Delirium IMO is not Delirium, it's the rest of the kit that doesn't help it feeling better to use.

Delirium, IR, Req....all the same, especially now that they are all on 60s.
The main problem with Delirium IMO is not Delirium, it's the rest of the kit that doesn't help it feeling better to use.

Yeah I don't actually think the issue is Delirium. Requiescat can be seen as a similar skill too as it's basically your "Time to press Holy Spirit" button, just with a finisher. It's really more about the way it's used being identical. PLD has to use it in a unique way whereas DRK has to use it in the same was as WAR bur WAR had it first back when we had to squeeze Fell Cleave three times in one Berserk. So yea, I'd give this a hard agreement.

The problem I have with it is the uncertainty of what horrible things they come up with next. It was excrutating having to use it 5 times in a row; 3 times is better, but I'm still on the fence because I haven't actually experienced the gameplay flow yet.

If 5.0 was that necessary rework we all needed, how come.. 6.0 and all its lackings came to existence? What is the reason the developers make these choices. Are they tripping over themselves or is this a deliberate choice?

I agree that delirium itself isn't really the problem its that the skill is on DRK is the issue
Req while is spammy it still feels better than Delirium because it grants PLD free movement and it works on clemency.
Delirium doesn't even work on esteem.

SGE's Eukrasia is an example of "Dark Arts" done right.

Really just illustrates SE's apprehension and lack of imagination for what to do with DRK.

I never really post on the forum or anywhere, and I feel like this is a pointless endeavor, but if there is any chance that SE might look into this, I hope they see all the voices that ask for DRK changes and improvements... I was content with how ShB DRK worked and honestly, even with all the smack talk about it, I defended my stance cause of how much fun I had, but after seeing how much similar DRK to WAR is, and now seeing how little has been added or changed about the job for EW... honestly its disheartening... I really want to believe SE listens as people always say and change the job to be more of its own identity and not just a diet coke WAR with the worst invul and ZERO self heal... I want to believe that hopefully by dragonsong ultimate we might see some changes

Sounds like you’re at denial. It’s okay. It takes time to work through all the stages of grief and loss. I was there about 3 years ago with DRK. It gets immediately better when you play I job SE cares about.

If they want to take elements from other jobs, why not take one from Sage? Where Dark Arts could act like Eukrasia and change the effects of the 1-2-3 rotation.
