Only good skill is Chainsaw for Battery generation. Doing fuck all with Flamethrower is a huge oversight. All the changes are just visual upgrades with potencies. It gonna be a boring xpac for MCH.

I was shocked to learn WF, and Heat blast to remain the same. Not to mention Flamethrower still doesn’t generate heat so it’s still a Alien in the aoe kit. And of course Autocross still doesn’t recharge ricochet so it’s demoted to a generic ogcd alongside Round. Out of all of the small qol suggestions I’m surprised the devs didn’t do anything to any of them
Tbf, I've seen someone say somewhere they expected hypercharge to get a finisher, as it seemed like a trend this expac, and I surprised myself getting excited by just having a "different button" to press as my last hypercharge skill. You know you've low expectation when it happens.
It's even more automated than before.
You won't try to think where to place the Queen, most of the time you just summon it at 100 battery, with Chainsaw you'll get 100 battery every minutes, fitting the AQ into every Raid buff window.
Heat management will shift a bit but the combo are apparently going up from 15s to 30s, so you won't have to worry about chaining Drill, AA and HC.
Buzzsaw is extremely disappointing.
I think for WF and Heatblast they answered to an interview saying "We don't have enough feedback".I was shocked to learn WF, and Heat blast to remain the same. Big proof they don't read their own forums, it was the very first feedback about 5.0 MCH and everyone was talking about "Bunshin treatment".
I don't want to raid as MCH this expac, thanks for GNB/SDG.

“We don’t have enough feedback” is incredibly valid as you’ll be hard pressed to find any critiques on MCH besides “make us OP”It's even more automated than before.

Scrolling thru multiple forums everyone is of one mind, par for the course for The Internet hivemind but doesn’t give the devs any notable feedback, for every “MCH needs this” theirs 20 others downvoting it saying “it’s better as is” i completely blame the community for the stagnation, all in all it’s what they wanted. Never colored MCH as flawless but the devs think so due to this lack of voice
Not a fan of the lowered potency to accommodate Chainsaw.
What I find hilarious is the lowered potency on Flamethrower from 100 to 80. Like why.
The only good things you get is Reassemble x2, Increased heat on Shotgun and Chainsaw.
Not very exciting.
There's a thread with a lot of good information about ping issues gathered in the General Discussion. Would be great to have some more accounts and feedback about the issues so SE can finally take them seriously.
Please help gain visibility about the issues: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...tions-normally
The FFXIV subreddit r/ffxiv just posted their interview with Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida (Link), where they asked him this question:
This was Yoshida's response...
People stop looking at potencies, or just look at the others. it was said that they lowered potencies of every jobs to accomodate the new math. so all jobs got 20% lower potencies (dancer got like 33% less on technical for example, 20% less on midare etc).
And I remember you telling him about the latency issues for year Lynn, in a lot of your posts it was something said
