


The issue is that Steam and Online Store versions are incompatible with each other. They can buy expansion, of course, but they will need to buy base game and start anew as well, because they simply won't be able to register the SE Online Store code in Mog Station for their Steam account.
Steam Account and Non-Steam Account is separated and once you created a character on one platform, you are locked in it, meaning I can only buy expansion strictly from Steam.
Unless I want to start a new account outside of Steam which I don't want to since I've already grown attached to my character.

I agree with the suggestion. Although I generally think the direct client has given less issues having more purchase options for the SEA region would be a good idea. Even something explaining it there are logistical reasons behind not being able to implement the suggestion I think would be welcome.
