I propose people leave in-game suggestions about their frustration with this job. If in 2 years of time things still continue on with this trend, then what's the reasonable solution? Quit the game. Do it for yourself.

What did other communities do when they realized their feedback and suggestions were ignored for years? Correct, they abandoned the game. Why is it so different for this game however? It's a simple problem.

Remember the panel held at E3, if I remember correctly, as to what can ruin an MMO and what it means to be successful. You will find countless contradictions in the statements regarding FFXIV in 2021.

People believe that Yoshi-P and his developement team care about us even in the most illogical of ways. Yes, this man single-handedly works the hardest and I have deep respect for this man, but he works in the interest of his own company.

What does this mean? The higher-ups on the corporate ladder want to see higher numbers, both financially and player-wise. When they task Yoshi-P to translate changes in this game in accordance with the numbers layed out, he'll do what's necessary to transcribe that goal realistically. It means if even a tiny aspect of a large portion is not in accordance with that goal, it will be changed. Indefinitely. This is why they said they'll expand on the 5.0 formula, not the complexity of 3.0, it is not in the interest of the people they're after.

I think your problem is you're stuck in denial, thinking that eventually one day, even a simple change to something like Living Dead would be added. This is not supposed to be offensive to you, but that's a position I was in not too long ago, until things started becoming more clear. Yes LD is flawed in design, but what more evidence to you need they couldn't give a Chocobo's wet arse about what we want, if not invisible to them entirely. If my thoughts are correct about their attempt at mocking us, then I spit on this company and all the money I invested previously. Had you told me back in Stormblood that this is where things would be going, I would have ended things right there. Why even give them the time of my day? It's akin to an abusive relationship. You do anything, but it will always backfire against you.

As for myself, I'm tired of this game and I found plenty of other games to offer me better things in return for my money. I've always felt like this MMO was a huge waste of time, it's only recently I internalized that and started playing less and less. Then couple that with the direction this game is going.. not good. Quitting the game is not only good to yourself but you don't support them screwing you over either. Win-win.
