Pulling wall to wall isn't fast enough?

If you're the tank I'm pretty sure you can just force the boss to reset as long as you stand outside the boss arena and force it to come to you since it can't aggro onto a target outside of the arena once it's sealed off and basically force resets itself

I did this a few times.

The only way to guarantee to force the boss to reset is to make sure the boss moves outside the purple line so they will get teleported back into the arena. Though sometimes this can happen if the boss is stubborn/doesn't like to move: start casting something -> arena is sealed -> the early puller DPS/healer is stuck inside -> they stayed in-combat with the boss -> they either die or I'll have to teleport inside to ensure their survival. /smh

In the end it's just easier if I just join in to ensure their survival. If there's CS watcher though I usually just type "sigh" in the chat and carry on.
