I find that frustrating too Aron, I want to give comms! And here I am, in a cutscene that I really want to watch! Wait for meeee! I wish we could give comms when people have left already.

It did take me a while to figure this out but during cut scenes, you can hit enter and type a msg in chat usually I write something like "Hi all! I'm new in this dungeon." and the rest of the team so far have helped me and been patient.
I have only played on one server (Balmung) so I don't know how the mentality is on the rest of the servers out there. But anyways there is my advice to you.

At the start it’s never a prob, people are chill and courteous usually But the bit at the end does my head in, I want to appreciate you! When I finally make it out of my cutscene, people (understandably) have poofed lol.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong but usually there is only a short death scene of the final boss that I personally skip most of the time and the real cut scene starts after you hit the leave dungeon glow. But I'm sure some dungeons get the extended cut scene started right after you kill the boss then I understand if people leave but when we are talking about a 3-5sec death scene and then your free to move around again I'm sure people can wait just for that to receive a nice reward in form of the gratitude of someone you just did meet for maybe the last time or if your lucky you will meet him or her in the far, far future.

It depends. In the dungeon "The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak" when someone enters the area of the endboss the cutscene is ~3 minutes long if you make the MSQ here.
