For sure, almost all of the optional level 50 dungeons have a ton of mechanics. Which is further evidence that SE has moved beyond trying to make dungeons hard/difficult.

They're more concerned with making difficult content that involves larger amount of players. Extreme Trials, re-tuning Unreals, Savage, Ultimates, Exploration Zones and Raids accessed through that content. Heck in my last DRS run we waited for roughly 8 min while one person restarted their computer because enough ppl of the remaining 46/47 felt that one person would make enough of an impact on the boss fight that is was worth waiting versus risking a wipe.

It's almost like communicating is important in a game with out people.

There are lots willing to wait or go slow. But you have to communicate.

Just being an angry silent person and complaining on the forums doesn't help anything.

I can say right now as a whm main, pulling 1 pack at a time I am not blowing through all my map holy spamming 2-3 mobs at a time for every pull. Also, I’d like to use my tool kit. More than a regen, an occasional cure. As I’d like tanks to use theirs. That includes their mitigation’s. and there is no reason to mitigate in 1 pack at a time. You have the tools. Use them. Put yourself in a situation to use them. Open up other people to be able to use theirs.
Also idk why we are acting like big pulls are hard on the tank. Spam aoe combo > mitigate > don’t stand in the bad > depend on healer.

For those tanks having panic attacks and on the verge of quitting. Maybe don’t tank? If it’s too much for you, then find it within yourself to move towards something you can more easily handle. Maybe by playing other classes you can see how other tanks handle the bigger pulls. Learn by watching, then proceed to practice what you have observed. Maybe you’ll get some appreciation for the faster pace when playing other classes when given a reason to aoe, burst or do more than the occasional heal

I don't *like* the gogogo mentality, especially in 4-player duties, but being a Tank helps with that. (Usually.) Then again, if they can keep up without me, well, at least I'm getting something out of it. And if they die, well, they die. Not a big penalty for death anyway.

Aside from the cutscene bit (impatient much?) they aren't exactly wrong.

If it's just a "I get uncomfortable", please don't use that phrasing.

As someone who had near crippling anxiety attacks as a child, I do not really understand why people are so hung up on tanking, while healing has much more pressure.

Tanking requires just being in front of the party and pressing enough buttons to hold hate, and little else.
I'll use "I get uncomfortable" from now on, but my point still stands: I don't like it when people run ahead of me while I'm tanking. Not only does it make me panic (not get panic attack, I've actually had those and I agree, they're not the same), it makes me feel pretty useless. People run ahead of me, they end up tanking the monsters, and what am I doing? I just don't like it. I've really been working on getting faster so people don't just up and leave the party because I'm going too slow, but it actually kind of pisses me off when people run ahead of me. Especially if they're a healer.

I had issues similar to this back in late HW & early StB. I've since come to an understanding that as long as they don't die and I get agro, who cares? Now if someone grabs agro and runs around with the mobs then yeah they are being stupid and I ask them in chat not to do that. But there are a few times in dungeons where someone gets in front of me and gets agro before I do. That's fine. I just aoe the mobs and keep moving to the next pack. Sometimes I throw TBN on them if I'm worried or just to get a proc from it.

At this point the only thing that bothers me (and it's very slight now) is when a healer has a regen on me and the mobs just completely run past me. That sucks, but again so long as I can just hit them once, it doesn't matter.

I really struggle with this, the whole AoE mobs thing. I keep thinking I get all of them, but one always gets past and stays past until I realize it. At that point, do you have to run and get them, or do you just use your ranged/provoke? What if more than one gets past? That's happened to me a lot, too.

Usually I just use my ranged attack or use provoke, whichever I feel like. I usually only have this "issue" occur once a run and not every run. If there is an issue and it happens consistently I WILL say something in chat. Sometimes if I'm playing as healer and I notice a DPS has agro and not taking it to the tank I will just use rescue on them to pull them and the mob into position. It's a pretty funny time XD

This is a good feeling. Not because it feels good right now, but because it will make people feel good later. We've all had those runs when we die as the healer only to get ressed by the SMN who is not only the best dps in the group but also hasn't taken any avoidable damage. Or the ones were we fail the same mechanic over and over and have 5 vuln stacks while everyone else has none.

That kind of contrast in skill can be uncomfortable. However, it also drives us to get better. To not take extra damage, to not fail mechanics and to not get left behind. Eventually we don't have to ask ourselves what we are even doing there, but instead we can ask if there is still something more we could be doing for the party.

You can Provoke one and ranged attack the other. Alternatively make a macro saying "bring it to tank" so the dps/healer learns to play correctly.
