I'll use "I get uncomfortable" from now on, but my point still stands: I don't like it when people run ahead of me while I'm tanking. Not only does it make me panic (not get panic attack, I've actually had those and I agree, they're not the same), it makes me feel pretty useless. People run ahead of me, they end up tanking the monsters, and what am I doing? I just don't like it. I've really been working on getting faster so people don't just up and leave the party because I'm going too slow, but it actually kind of pisses me off when people run ahead of me. Especially if they're a healer.

I had issues similar to this back in late HW & early StB. I've since come to an understanding that as long as they don't die and I get agro, who cares? Now if someone grabs agro and runs around with the mobs then yeah they are being stupid and I ask them in chat not to do that. But there are a few times in dungeons where someone gets in front of me and gets agro before I do. That's fine. I just aoe the mobs and keep moving to the next pack. Sometimes I throw TBN on them if I'm worried or just to get a proc from it.

At this point the only thing that bothers me (and it's very slight now) is when a healer has a regen on me and the mobs just completely run past me. That sucks, but again so long as I can just hit them once, it doesn't matter.

Usually I just use my ranged attack or use provoke, whichever I feel like. I usually only have this "issue" occur once a run and not every run. If there is an issue and it happens consistently I WILL say something in chat. Sometimes if I'm playing as healer and I notice a DPS has agro and not taking it to the tank I will just use rescue on them to pull them and the mob into position. It's a pretty funny time XD

Your ranged attack should be adequate for getting hate back from a regen tick. Provoke will need to be followed up with another attack. So say it's a pack of 3, you ranged attack 1, regen ticks, 2 and 3 beeline for healer. So Ranged attack 2, then Provoke 3, then AoE with 3 targeted (and ideally positioned to hit 1 and 2 as well).

Easier fix... make a User Macro:

/statusoff "Diurnal Opposition"

Put on your hotbar near your ranged attack and tap it before engaging the first target in a pack. The others should reliably link to you first then, and beeline at you in range of your AoE hit. If you are pulling more and the healer tosses something on you between packs, go ahead and tap the button again to ensure they didn't put a HoT on you that will interfere with the gathering of the next pack.
