Because none of the job actions trailer gives the information you've given. Heck the trailer doesn't even show any watery effects used on the enemy for it to be a "Water" spell. None of the tooltips were shown and all will be revealed on the media tour.
To be fair, VictoriaLuv said "Banish/Water/Water II", not just "Water/Water II".
So it could be similar to Stone->Stone 2-> Stone 3->Stone 4->Glare, where you start with Water spells, but at level 72 they become Banish.

But...where is banish in the trailer then? I don't know...From what I can tell, the WHM cast three single target abilities.
The first one is obviously the DoT. Then probably Glare 2. But the third one...the animation seems similar to the one of Glare 2....but on the particle effect it also seems to mirror the one from Glare 2.
So...it's not exactly the same? could it be something else? Or is it common for spells to have different particle effects if you cast them multiple times? I don't even know... (the difference is really small. On the first cast you can see 2 particle effects flying to the right and one to the left. The second cast you can see 2 particle effects flying to the left and 1 to the right)

Or maybe I am just reading too much into it because I watched the job action trailer for WHM a few time after reading this 'spoiler'.

With Banish/Water/Water II, we're seeing absolutely nothing to that effect in the trailer or anything SE have said. I mean, I think the implementation you've suggested could be a welcome one just not one we've got any evidence of.

The only single target DPS spells we see are Dia and Glare (II?). I am not sure where you're see thing the third, I just see to Glare II's cast. At least I am not noticing the difference, if there is one I've not spotted, it looks like a self buff is cast just before the first Glare II but not the second.

But looking at all of the abilities, this is what I saw:

    Dia
    Divine Benison
    A self buff
    Glare II?
    Divine Benison
    Afflatus Misery
New ground AoE heal (or an asylum reskin as I've seen suggested)
    Glare II?
    Divine Benison
    A self buff
    Holy II?

This idea that there's a Water/Water II/Banish and that it works like Ruin II is a fabrication from the OP being passed off as being a part of the toolkit (rather than a wish) and there's nothing that shows a water-based single target spell and the only new single target spell we see looks closer to Glare and it also has a cast time, Ruin II does not so it's hard for me to see it being Banish. Given the general posts by the OP, the fact the spoiler warning is at the end when it's too later, the defensiveness of fabricated claims that not been shown anywhere but is being paraded as fact to me suggests strongly this was intended as a troll thread.

I think it'd be a whole different discussion if it was a speculation or a wishlist kind of thread.

    Yup you are totally right.
Both glares had cast times so this whole Banish thing from OP is indeed probably made up.

Squire-Enix concern at the moment. is give healers wider game style. adding more dps opinions adding "buffs" removing and making old skills more useful. granting utility. like even if scholar reveal wasn't great. people didn't notice that they made Selene. different Eos. even if utility doesn't look really great. you got a battle aoe super sprint . they could done better job revealing things about scholar. more detail. cause a lot reasons but not as bad as they think it is.

I honestly think this thread is more like what you want it to be, and less what it is going to be.

I read your posts from other sections of the forum. Despite your claim "Possible patches" as well as "Future Upgrades", the contexts of your posts were mere speculation based on your personal desires and preferences.

It's okay to speak up what you want for the game. Feel free to make threads full of suggestions. However, I can't help but wonder whether you can differentiate between speculation and confirmation.

If you feel insulted, I apologize. Feel free to stomp me with your source of information. I believe I speak for all FFXIV communities that we are DYING to know about every single bit of information about EndWalker.

I don't stomp on people i just trying be helpful. look all i can say is look forward to endwalker. lot doom saying on final fantasy 14 healer forums just reasons. alot people watch healer panel. people aren't asking the right questions. like if healers getting all these changes. what are you gonna fight against that warrants these changes. a lot people may not seen this either too disappointed or really hype. but speed of game is drastically increased. healer combat is drastically increased are damage numbers are being squished. but at same that means it opens up new damage abilities.

I mean look at ast ast got some really sick dps skills. so safe to assume all healer jobs some new dps skills to adjust to this change. as far of divine benison charges having 3 instead of 2. yoshi-p said themselves everything here is subject to change. not that it makes it any difference 2-3 besides about time white mage had really powerful utility ability that rivals with "ast" but doesn't take away from "ast" defensive cooldown attached to divine benison . isn't as overpowered people give it credit for. i mean have same effect as clemency on paladins but baby sitting is major part of healer job no matter what healer you play always covering other peoples mistakes. so having a targetable defensive cooldown attached to shield isn't overpowered as you think fits healer persona

I'm really greatful you took your time read my post kept things civil and gave honest opinion for that i have hope for ff14 community that you read my other threads. thank you for that but have no hostility towards you or anyone.. do realise not expert on the English language just recently started learning. so please don't be hostile with my choice of words. this towards everyone not you

This is a nice wishlist/guess list.

I would like to point out that the new spell (totem placed in the field) look like it proc'd the heal when it got hit by an AoE spell from the pegasus. Didn't seem to proc from the WHM spell unless it was pretty delayed.

Actually I have watched the trailer frame by frame and there is more spells

    Dia

    Divine benesion (paladin)

    Thin air

    Glare 2?

    Divine benesion (whitemage)

    Afflatus misery

Lily summon (somethink hit the paladin as it summoned)

    Glare 2?

*New shield* (place on paladin and had protect animation on it aswell)

    (Horse cast damage)

    Lily summon did Aoe spell

White mage also raised its arms which looks like it did cure 3 (not entirely sure the skill was used at the same time as the lily did the explosion)

    Holy 2

By the looks of it the lily summon might be a rework to afflatus rapture/ planetary indulgance into 1 skill

    I have review it consently
    https://youtu.be/vKboFUS1AzU

Do it slowly and u can see the whitemage use another spell as the lily summon did and Aoe heal, it was like a white beam with a flower above it

So reality is white mage have these new things

    Brand new shield
    Glare 2
    Lily summon
    2x divine benesion
New spell (used after lily explode the first time, it's not thin air but it had a water sound effect)
    Holy 2

    Which is about right

3 traits which upgrades spells (holy, glare, divine benesion)

3 new spells (lily summon, new shield,
    self buff)

That gives you away. In the Live Letter they specifially went out of their way to say these are NOT primals and gave them names: Garuda Emerald, Titan Topaz & Ifirit Ruby. While this may be semantics, if you had any real links to SE, you wouldn't use that to support your argument. After all, the primal "summoning effect" could easily be just that. A visual effect of a spell and buff that gives the summoner the ability to cast the spells rather than actually summoning the primal.

"Then what is magic for?" Prince Lir demanded wildly. "What use is wizardry if it cannot save a unicorn?"
Schmendrick did not turn his head. With a touch of sad mockery in his voice, he said, "That's what heroes are for."

Regardless of what was said, Summoner does look like they are summoning primals. The Ruby, Emerald, Topaz thing was probably put there in order to prevent a plot hole.
