I don't think it's overpriced. I've seen some of these dolls in person at a shop in Akihabara, they look incredible. I just don't have the interest to spend over a grand on it (once taxes, shipping, etc are included).

It's definitely overpriced compared to other dolls of the same brand and scale, but I'm just pointing out the irony of people not batting an eye at stuff like a 40€ mount, a 60€ plush or a 85€ 15cm figure but a 900€ SD fullset BJD is crossing a line

Not necessarily true. It really seems to depend a lot on the brand being licensed. The 2B Dolfie is the same price, and the Hatsune Miku doll is slightly cheaper but in the same ballpark. If you're looking at unlicensed original characters then, sure, you can get them for cheaper but for the actual licensed characters YShtola isn't notably more expensive.

Limited licensed character DD dolls usually go anywhere between 55k and 80k JPY, Y'shtola is still 10k JPY more expensive than 2B and almost twice as expensive as non-lims

10k JPY isn't really anything to scoff at
