This has to be some really subtle bait. No way anyone could think Glare/Broil/Malfic Mages are good.

I'll potentially take a lot of flak for this but.... lazy, minimum effort players that just want fast queues unironically do - I don't want to refer to these people as casuals because it feels like an even lower tier.
absolutely right on this, for when even the CASUALBRIGNERS notice that SCH got jack shit, thats when you know these nu-casuals are just... a whole new tier in themselves
This is part of the endless, endless cycle that ensures White Mage is the boring and terrible healer. Has to be simple -> should have a lower skill ceiling -> doesn't deserve higher output for less effort -> should be weaker than the others -> no utility to make up for being weaker -> ends up being less engaging, weaker, and less desirable than the others -> "why oh why is White Mage in such a bad spot, nobody could possibly have predicted this. Maybe something should be done to fix this state of affairs!" -> But whatever you do, it'd better be simple!
Round and round and round the circular logic has gone for expansion after expansion.
I'd rather not hurt my side of the argument with name-calling and alienation.
I want an end to the glarebroil spam, but I also want my healers to accessible. I'd rather not gatekeep this role to the point it paints veteran healers as entitled.
That being said, I do believe it is possible to. design classes with a low skill floor and a high skill ceiling.
this is cool and all but WHM was the most fun healer out of the 3 while being the simplest. This is part of the endless, endless cycle that ensures White Mage is the boring and terrible healer. Have you considered just not raiding if you're not willing to put the effort in to perform to a decent level? Okay, thanks.
This, right here. If you don't want to put in the work for Savage, don't drag other people down because you actively WANT to be a sub optimal player who does not wish to grow. Play other content
Fascinating… all this speculation and one of the key aspects has been completely disregarded.
I dont know what the expansion holds for healers. As people have mentioned the tool tips are not known, and even when the media tour embargo lifts those tool tips are not finalized or official.
But i do wonder why no one has mentioned the stat squish that does have the (and note the upcoming keyword, it’ll be in quotation marks) “POTENTIAL” to shift the balance so healing may need to be more prominent.
Obviously we can’t know that for sure, and it does seem like a long shot, but hey. If there’s gonna be rampant speculation might as well do it right and make sure all the factors are included! See ya check on the thread in a few days :3
