Yea the pic with the Autumn leaves in a huge forest is dope. Like The Sancutary of Zi'tah, but in the Fall.

I agree. Out of all the screenshots, that's my favorite. It really makes me want 2.0 right now. I just want to run around in that forest, a real forest that's not a maze of tunnels.
This game desperately needs the server and engine fixes that 2.0 will bring. I understand that those are the most important elements of the FFXIV revamp. But personally, nothing excites me more about 2.0 than the new areas.
The first picture looks like something out of Windurst... which I have mixed feelings on. The picture in the forest, though, gets me excited if we can actually go between those trees and it's not some invisible wall pathed area.
I would also love some snow-filled zones, but I would honestly like the idea of seasons where snow would be present in many non-snowy areas as well during the winter.
Warp tunnel (Terra) is worse as canyon walking (current FF XIV)
It's just Gridania
edit: ok, it's not exactly Gridania, but it have the same architecture

Zoned areas provide a better explanation for dramatic changes in zones IMO. In a seamless world you walk over a bridge and all of the sudden everything is different.
I havnt played Tera but if it's worse then the canyon separates it's bad.
This is one of the things that scares me about the future of this game. Yoshi-P and his new team have no doubt helped turn around Final Fantasy XIV so far, and I commend them for that effort. However he comes off with this attitude that seemingly doesn't give a rats ass about people who want to adventure, and experience their character to the fullest.
Rather we get massive exp boosts to hit 50 in a few short days, no effort to reach any of the primals, extremely easy content, and poorly implemented solo quests. Everything screeches of unoriginality. It's like they don't care about people who like that sense of adventure. Want to do the content? Here's a teleport. Want to hit 50? Here do it in a few short days. Want to do this quest? Ok spend 5 minutes solo and your done.
I'm really hoping that his stance on this changes. Sure maybe the adventure to the top of the mountain should be shortened AFTER you walk that 30 minutes and unlock it.
I don't get that vibe from him , I sense that he values us as customersThis is one of the things that scares me about the future of this game.
