Sacred Soil sucked because it costs an Aetherflow to cast, which competed with Energy Drain for damage and Lustrate/Indom's for healing the damage. This new ability does not, and now that Broil IV has the single weave space there is no loss whatsoever in using it. Just because it's a boring tool does not make it a useless one. It's another trick the scholar can pull out of that book.
