FFlogs is not the problem here, since it clearly shows that SAM is 100% fine.
The problem is inexperienced players thinking they anything about jobs balance and crying of the forums about things they don't know anything about.
Also true, hence why I will never argue with balance nor will I care for it unless somthing is dangerously underpowered or I’m getting those “Please no <Insert Job here>” parties

I disagree. And that's precisely one more example of why parsing is not used correctly. Statistics are just statistics. You can interpret them in many ways.
1) SAM is probably one of the easiest jobs to get good damage output with. I am sure you can find on your favorite parsing tools that the weakest SAM has higher DPS than the weaker MNK or RDM.
2) SAM has no utility. The fact that Monk and Red Mage have utilities increase their contribution to the raid by an amount that greatly depends on how much your party members perform. The reason you see better logs for MNK and RDM in fflogs could simply be because the ones who upload their logs buffed some very very good players. You should look at the average output, not at the max value. But...the average player also don't upload their logs...
3) SAM is a very very popular job in raids. It has the highest amount of uploaded parses on FFlogs. Even though there are a lot less MNKs, the difference between min and max output is much bigger. Which means their damage is a lot more consistent, as you would expect and want from a selfish melee DPS.
4) You could also look at aDPS instead of just looking at rDPS and notice that SAM is higher than BLM.
5) Neither aDPS and rDPS are 100% accurate metric as it all depends on your own skills, your party skills, your party composition etc.
Now if you can show some actual exact values to prove your point instead of relying on stats, sure.

Proof, number, logs, videos, whatever you want that show us your point.
Cause we have data that shows that samurai is where is should be, he's good and high.
I don't SAM, but what fights are RDM out-DPSing them in?
Any fight where the SAM is bad and the RDM is decent. No good Samurai will be outdone by another job, except BLM, not counting gear.
If SAM's started using their dots maybe their damage wouldn't be so low.
Seriously tho I almost feel like at least 70% of SAM's never use their dots or they use it once and then forget for the rest of the fight.

But do they even need buffs?
SAM is by far has the hardest hitting personal numbers, rivaled only by BLMs.
… if they are played properly that is.
The fact that a SAM lets themselves to be outdone by MNK & even RDM can only mean one thing.![]()
The hell is a freestyle Sam?

Obviously they can respond with their own definition if they like, but based on context id say its a low-knowledge/skill samurai. One who just hits buttons, rather then figuring out(or looking up) how their skills interact with each other so they can actually use them properly. You can get ok damage just by hitting buttons, but youll find yourself outclassed by jobs that actually have lower damage ceilings then yours(not to mention most of them will be buffing the group, so them doing their job and yours better then you kinda makes you redundant). Or you can put in the work to actually learn the class, and leave those people in your shadow.
