Yup, which is why the job is in such a horrid state, there's no uniqueness to the job except that it has a phase where your GCD is 1.5s

People want to have impact, and mindlessly pumping damage into a health bar that barely moves and mitigating 10% damage every 2 minutes doesn't count as impact

I agree the state is pretty bad and it’s starting to gain steam as a shallow job after the flare and awe it got in the beginning of the expansion (which wore off fast for me) I assume people got bored? Idk but I say build something new all its own Machinery has ENDLESS possibilities!

Augmentations, Barrels, Ammunition, Devices, Turrets, Robotics, Special ammo like; frag rounds, flash rounds, flame rounds. Trajectory, Recoil, Grenades, Scramblers, Electricity, Heat, explosives, equipment, it can take on multiple aesthetics like Spies with gadgets, Steam punk junk like Edgar, Marksman styles like Irving, different styles of weapons like duels wielding, sniper rifles, automatic rifles, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, Cannons, Gatlings, Shotguns. Literally MCH has boundless potential and it’s sad this is what they can come up with?

I’m down but the best incarnation have both arms and arsenal. Look at how well ninjitsu, for NIN and Iaijutsu for SAM carve a identity for the jobs, BRDs song rotation though controversial, has its identity of its own integrating Song and arrow both not just one.

Looking back at MCH it lacks these principles, I’d hardly call heat and battery unique. In fact the most unique skill MCH has is Wildfire and it’s used so laterally it might as well not exist. Maybe I’m viewing MCH too favorably and my expectations for a true gadget and gun job are too high, or maybe the ambition of current mains are far too submissive

Shotgun is not a combo and gives 10 heat. Hopefully not a trait that is Spreadshot+.
Flying disks, maybe chainsaw... It generates 20 battery so it may be a shared cooldown with air anchor.
Queen with a new finisher, all that will change is summoning the Queen earlier to get their new attacks in the raid buffs window.
I saw 2 Reassemble, could be a trait.

Wildfire and Flamethrower are unchanged, the biggest joke.

Glad to see they listen to the community, Flamethrower was one of the biggest request.

In general I feel like they didn't do much to the PRanged DPS but MCH got the short end of the stick it seems
