I mean you can call it what you want in your head but WoW wasn't the first with that idea. EQII had an appearance slot long before WoW had any sort of appearance-changing ability. But I call it glamour here because that's the term for this game.

As to the OP, I imagine the hobo look they'd see on people if they turned glams off would probably break their sense of immersion, too.

If they did implement an option to turn off glams, it would probably just put everyone in their racial gear. Look at how many Viera are around. You still won't get away from skimpy looks.

FOr all of you who someone missed point it is not about skimpy or not etc.

It is like seeing someone in bikini in winter where snow is around or seeing someone in halloween costume on Valentine day etc or seeing 2021 electric mobilg in 1500th century kind of immersion breaking .

It would not be so bad if there were like PLACES FROM WHERE THINGS are from for example boom here is town /city with all modern stuff and such things are form there etc.

But seeing once in ridiculous glamour and there is like nothing even close to it makes you from what game/world that person came from .

I just watched a cutscene with Godbert in Ishgard, does that just shatter your fragile little sense of immersion too?

    The game encourages those looks.

Consider a prime example in the crafting/gathering Custom Deliveries. In Idyllshire you will meet a person who hides behind a gold outfit with a pig's head. In. Game.

In about a little over a week from when this is written, you will meet another person with a 'modern' look. Their outfit is pretty cool.

This game has magic as well as technology built to emulate magic. It is not stuck in the age of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table. The sooner the OP acknowledges this, the easier it will be to confirm that, yes, clothing may be traditional for some and, for others, completely modern.

OP is urged to consider some of the Korean F2P MMOs available. Blade and Soul, for example, has a lot of 'fantasy trope' items (as well as what I would call 'fan service trope' items), but you can also wear some exceedingly 21st century clothing instead, if you choose.

The only game I played where 'modern' didn't seem to be a thing was World of Warcraft. I was never enthused by the armor sets, they appeared to be so dark with a small riot of color effects. Or, in BC, they were suddenly a clown-suit's worth of color. Sometimes. Thank heavens there was that one barbarian loincloth that could be used as a male Blood Elf mage.

What are you even talking about ?
What a weirdo you cant deny ffacts LUL .

Literally OP and me asked for way more and npccs to have designated zones and places where these things came from etc so ti makes some sense and not just once in blue moon seeing something totally out of place theme and setting of what is around in game world.

LIke seeing someone in Kimino walking around in my country level of immersoin breaking.
And if you still dont get it then you are just too thicc to view others people have different views than you.

Cant post more , I am level 36 or something i have 0 idea about what you even talk about and again it has nothing to do with skimpy mogs or bikini which are normal but some people i have seen totally out of place.

I'm talking about the in-game NPC who wears a bikini in Ishgard. If that doesnt ruin your immersion why should a PC who does the same have that effect?
