And that'd be week-long period before people find another way to do it.
They did that in WoW, they could do that here as well.
You are missing the point. If SE actually decided to ban all modding they would. There are mmo's that scan your files when you launch the game to detect abnormalities. You can't start the game if anything is detected.
When people really want to, they could bypass or trick that scan.
You can't win that battle.
You really are adamant on having spyware scanning our games, aren't you? Might as well punish people who use Discord's overlay, NVIDIA GeForce Experience and ReShade/GSHADE while we're at it.
SE had a community rep post on these forums and said words to the effect that GShade is acceptable but they will not support it if you have issues with the game as a result.
