If this was an M rated game I would disagree but I could at the very least understand the stance but minors are the intended minimum age. As such we have a responsibility to be extra strict cause child will be present.

That is false. Getting rid of mods will not solve a thing with these rpers. All it would do is make it take longer to log in. So your answers to protecting the kids is getting rid of mods that will do nothing to protect them?

Second off, Telling people not to have fun in a social game, is like telling people not to use acts. It is a waste of time, This type of RP is the normal and telling them not to do it, is not a real answer to said problem.


In other words, you have no real answers to fix it.

And even if they enforce the TOS spy on people private chat. They will just take it out of the game like I said. So they would use the game to meet people and take it out when they want to do that sort of RP. Meaning NOTHING you or this company can do to stop it.

It’s against US law to send sexually explicit material to minors, including over the internet, and it’s against US law to have drawings, cartoons, etc. of minors, and child-like entities.

And people have stated that there are those that in their own experience, that people don’t check age, and it sometimes gets weird OOC after ERP sessions, and there have been situations of grooming of minors in this game.

Lawsuit? that is crazy talk, and the image? Who cares. All it would do is make the west look bad not the company. The truth is, square stance is very low risk and good business choice. Even if the media starting going after this game. The JP community will just laugh at us. (not that i care about that lol.).

According to people here only hyper realistic depictions are illegal, everything else is fair game because it does not represent a real child. So nope, people will keep using FFXIV as their pedo safe heaven.

My answer on modding was to solve the issue of modding and what this thread was started about. My later point is on the other big discussion that has happened within this thread. Furthermore, I am keeping the solutions and how would should approach this discussed situation within the bounds of 14. Also, rp is fine erp is not and against tos. My solution is both morally and logically correct, just don't do it. Use thy brain.
