What Mount (or Minion) do you think just kind of "goes with" each Job?

I tend to just hit the mount roulette button most of the time, since I can't really decide. But for specific ones I tend to fall back on.....

RDM: Black Pegasus or Rose Lanner
MCH: The transforming mech from Bozja whose name escapes me right now

BLU: Warring Lanner

For minions, I usually have Wind-Up Dulia-Chai or Wind-Up Ravana out, but sometimes I just hit the random favorite minion button for fun.

Ironically, I feel like the "Panther" (black coeurl) is more suited to the Ninja than a Dark Knight. I do like the idea of a Lion, but it's a little savage-looking for a Paladin, imo.

Dark Knight is an european medieval inspired job. The Panther does not fit into that setting. Plus DRK is kind of a "lone wolf" himself.

Fenrir is the mount for the Dark Knight.

Yeah, Panther was definitely an unusual choice. I suspect they were just trying to come up with something quickly that they could match with the PvP armor-sets. The ARR PvP stuff kind of correlates -- Paladins got Lion armor then a Lion mount, Warriors got Bear armor then a Bear mount. For some reason they landed on a "Lynx" for DRK's PvP armor, and probably figured recoloring the Coeurl was close enough.

I agree, a Wolf would've actually made a lot of sense, I think.
