What Mount (or Minion) do you think just kind of "goes with" each Job?

While I certainly love me some mount-collecting, I really enjoy trying to "pair" mounts (and sometimes minions) with each of my Jobs. I dunno; it helps kind of sell the "fantasy" of each job, to me.

Some feel kind of obvious; like the Dark Knight, there are loads of dark-looking mounts that suit them (I personally learn towards Grani, the Shadowbringers CE mount). I currently went for a whole "Odin" theme for my PLD (and I'll defend my Sleipnir purchase til MY DYING BREATH!), but I have a feeling I'll switch to the Endwalker CE mount once it's released.

Most other jobs, though, I really struggle with. I FEEL like Kirin kinda-sorta goes with the Samurai, while the Firebird feels like a good Monk mount. The Dragoon, I honestly struggle a lot with. For Warrior, for some reason I like Rathalos with it! If I have the Witch's Broom, I feel like that would be a good Black Mage mount.

What about you? What mounts (or minions) do you think kind of "match" each job?

Dragoon is easy for minion. Midgardsomr.

Ironically, I feel like the "Panther" (black coeurl) is more suited to the Ninja than a Dark Knight. I do like the idea of a Lion, but it's a little savage-looking for a Paladin, imo.

The Panther for DRK was a mistake. The appropriate mount would have been a wolf.

Dark Knight is an european medieval inspired job. The Panther does not fit into that setting. Plus DRK is kind of a "lone wolf" himself.

Yeah, Panther was definitely an unusual choice. I suspect they were just trying to come up with something quickly that they could match with the PvP armor-sets. The ARR PvP stuff kind of correlates -- Paladins got Lion armor then a Lion mount, Warriors got Bear armor then a Bear mount. For some reason they landed on a "Lynx" for DRK's PvP armor, and probably figured recoloring the Coeurl was close enough.

I agree, a Wolf would've actually made a lot of sense, I think.

I use Midgardsomr for my Dragoon when I'm feeling cheeky, otherwise it's my purple chocobo with Dragoon barding for daily use. I hardly play any other combat classes/jobs, so those two work well for me.

The obvious anything mechanical fits Machinist. Especially the SDS Fenrir and Cruise Chaser.
