That's called a game in maintenance mode, and a fairly unpopular one at that - if they only had just enough to sustain it. I have literally no idea why anybody would actually want that for a game.

Bojaza, ocean fishing, ishgard restoration and the Panademic. There is your answer to the content issue. Content lost so one pice can be improved and new content added. Anything else became a victim of the panademicYet SHB has been noticeably shallow compared to SB content wise. No Deep dungeons, only one ultimate, Eureka has more zones (quality debatable) still zero PvP weapons and less armor from PvP in general how many DNC and GNB weapons are their again? Less dungeons and I’m sure someone can nitpick more
Trust can be a tricky thing with video game companies.
Sometimes you don't know what is going on behind the curtain on why they make these decisions.

Throwing my voice in, not that much will change. While I don't have an issue with the Mog Station in of itself, the presence of Cruise Chaser in the Mog Station does rub me the wrong way. This is a really cool boss with an awesome song, and I think it should have been an in-game unlockable. I'd rather the cash shop team focused on making original content for the Mog Station instead (at least as far as Mounts and whatnot are concerned).
Small indie company, please understand.
I understand that this is a joke, but man MMO's are insanely expensive to not just develop new content for, but also to maintain.
I don't blame them for putting what ultimately are cosmetics on the mog station. Good profit from the game means, hopefully, more funds going to
good new content for the game.
0w0 what are you doing here?
I'm fine with cosmetics being purchasable as well, I've bought my fair share of dyes/outfits/mounts/emotes from the store.I understand that this is a joke, but man MMO's are insanely expensive to not just develop new content for, but also to maintain.

Didn't Shadowbringers do really well? I wonder where that good new content went...
I'm currently quite enjoying shadowbringers, and I've only heard praise for it. I don't know how well, monetarily, it has done.
I'd assume much of what they are making in profit from the mogstation and subs is going towards development on endwalker?
