Why is the Cruise Chaser mount from the Mogstation?

People defending the Cruise Chaser in the shop, because the money go for the dev team, yet, i havent seen an effort for the Latin/Spanish players, like at least, translate the game for us, but nothing.

The price for me in colombia, is almost the same price, i pay for Tales of Arise, and for one mount, that could be obtained in game.

It is very very very unlikely that the money from the shop mount will go into the game dev team. Bussiness decisions are not made like this. If the shop mount is a success then they will reinvest the money to make a better Mogrystation and design more shop mounts. Because it is a far easier money.

I guess people having principles they follow or disagreeing with a companies choice to monetize their consumers is beyond some people, who apparently must define themselves over what they buy and how much of a nice little consumer they are

Tbh I think you’re looking way too much into it. It’s really not that deep. Not buying cash shop doesn’t make you more principled than people who do, nor does it make you much less of a “good little consumer”, considering cash shop or not, you’re still paying monthly to play a game by a AAA company. You’re not sticking it to the man. You’re just spending slightly less to support the same company.

Sometimes people just like a nice thing. It’s not a flex on anyone else, it’s not a sports car or a designer bag. It’s an asset in a video game they just want to enjoy. The mog station team makes it possible to enjoy the things they are buying, and in return the game gets extra funding. There’s still a ton of cool stuff in game to grind for.

I said it in another thread (I think, there are like five of these?) but I’ll get worked up when they start doing gacha/lootbox/actual predatory practices. I don’t think they ever will, though. This model seems to be working just fine.

I never said or implied that I think of myself as better or more principled than the people who bought the mount nor that I'm going to stick it to the man, unlike other posters, and why would I: I've bought stuff from the mogstation myself and will continue to do so if there's content on it I want and find worth my money
I just personally think think that it's wholly overpriced and not worth it, hence my comment earlier in the thread, and that people who demean others who have similar views as poor people being jealous seemingly have never experienced financial hardships, or at the very least, known someone who did, because they wouldn't talk like that otherwise.

people can enjoy and buy whatever they want, but other people are also allowed to criticize said things and have a different opinion on it if they want to, I never said people aren't allowed to buy stuff from it in any of my posts lmao
on the other hand, you have people doing just that, using this mount in some vain attempt to flex on people who don't like it for various, different reasons, because monetary reasons are the only reason, in their eyes, for why someone might not like it (or the whale)
I mean, just look at their posts
they can do whatever they want with their money, but treating 30 bucks as if it was a few pennies doesn't sit right with me, having gotten to known many poor families through work

There are customers more nice than me, I only ever used the free fantasias meanwhile there are people buying refill packs on a weekly basis. Nice try though.
