    I for one am all in favor of adding more skills to WHM. Particularly old skills like Cleric Stance, Aero III, and Divine Seal (just have Divine Seal to Temperance at level 80). And please, WHM's need a reason to use Fluid Aura again. I've said it before and, by God, I will say it again until this is addressed. It doesn't make sense for WHM not to have dps Water skills! IF Y'shtola can have them as a Black Mage, then we can have one as well (you know what, maybe I should make a new Fluid Aura thread again).

    And I am all in favor of gaining new traits that upgrade Cure I to Cure II and Medica to Medica II to free up skill space.

    Excluding the two useless skills (Fluid Aura and Repose), WHM has a total of 33 skills/spells. Compare that to DRG, Black Mage, and DRK, those jobs have around 32-33 skills, including any possible useless ones they might have, they're pretty much the same in number.

    I'm sure we can clean up some of the skills and either grant weaker versions of said skill include traits that upgrade them (Cure 1 --> Cure 2, Divine Seal --> Temperance), make useless spells useful (Fluid Aura), and give one or two old skills back (Aero III and Cleric Stance).

    What about using Fluid Aura as the 3 in the skill chain, and have it upgraded later on with Glare?

    I remember when in HW Fluid Aura was oGCD damage too. I used it in SB at times in dungeons to push mobs that I had aggro on to the tank when they couldn't keep aggro.... as WHM was also an aggro magnet if you had to heal.

    I had a thought about making it a two step combo, but you can do either the first spell or second spell, the follow up with the second spell or first spell, respectively.
    Doing one or the other would generate a different resource for WHM. Maybe Earth > Water would generate 5 Healing Lily points, while Water > Earth would generate 5 Blood Lily Points.
    Every 30 points of the Healing Lily (up to a max of 100), it allows the usage of an Afflatus Solace/Rapture.
    Every 30 points of the Blood Lily (up to a maximum of 100), it allows the use of an instant-cast damage spell that's as strong as the first spell, for weaving/movement purposes.
    Using three Healing Lily actions will make a healing specific Lily bloom, allowing for a Cure III-like instant GCD.
    Using three Blood Lily actions will allow the use of Afflatus Misery.

    Or something like that.

    Only in that it shares the idea of duality. RDM is all about maintaining balance between black and white mana. For WHM, it would be about prioritisation, rather than balance. You’d need to design the skills carefully so that one option wasn’t obviously superior, though, otherwise everyone would just always feed the blood lily.

    I've always found 1-2-3 combos very very boring. Scholar dots were good, put them all on then monitor them and reapply as necessary. Or maybe something a bit more reactive, a chance to proc a strong oGCD spell on our dots, even if said dots were to be nerfed. Something that keeps us on our toes.

    I just wanna cry at that, just like I did at ShB's launch when I looked at all 3 healers ;_; I miss a lot of our old skills and animations.
