True. I think the point of contention that people have taken was that SE announced this change specifically to cater to an (incredible) minority of people (who suffer from a disorder-that-isn't), and the resultant concern that, once you open the door to these kinds of demands, there's potentially no end to the 'minority groups' of one sort of another who might field complaints (some of which may be far more legitimate than this).

Much like societies in the real world, in order to have Eorzea, people need to set aside their obsession with their special and unique identity (and its resultant demands on everyone else to yield before it) and compromise. We cannot have a game if it is needled to death by pearl-clutching crusaders.
