I wanted to reply to this post because it brought me some amusement. I highlighted one part which was particularly funny and the second part (sorry I edited out some stuff I found less interesting) about missing deadlines and not living in the same real world... I don't know what kind of a world you live in where it is ok to miss deadlines after deadlines with no communication with the client. In the real world I live in, if something gets delayed you keep the client up to date down to the minute of what is happening and why the delays has occured.A year ago we didn't even have a forum (not counting the beta one), we had no rep, and communication level was 0.
......
As for your example as a graphic designer, cool story. We just don't live in the same real world I think. Delays happen often, everywhere, in all kind of activity sectors, especially when working internationally. It's always the same thing is the end, the customer only have one mean of pressure: not paying.
There is a little Monkey in all of us....
I hate being left in the dark
Do you realize that SE has not yet released a date nor deadline to which they have an obligation to fulfill? All that SE has ever released are projections and timelines that they use as goals. No where is it said that any of their patches will be released on such and such day, but rather, in every one of their posts they always leave themselves a margin of error with some fancy line such as "we reserve the right to change any and or all information heretofore mentioned" or "preojected dates are subject to change".I wanted to reply to this post because it brought me some amusement. This a joke?Do you realize that SE has not yet released a date nor deadline to which they have an obligation to fulfill?
