I'm not missing the point in any way Velhart! I understand that people want info on when the patch is coming out! You think I dont. I'm just saying that I'm sure Yoshi has his reasons for not telling us. People would rage a whole lot more if Yoshi released something like "Patch in 5 days!" then half a day later "Sorry guys had another fatal error and have to push the patch back another 2 weeks!"

My point was people need to relax! Chill! Good things come to those who wait!

Then he needs to come out and say something. I cannot find a good reason the developers can't come out and say we are delaying the patch, or at least acknowledge us. We pay monthly for this game now, and in doing so, I expect better service, and so far it has been pretty bad in terms of communication. They don't even need to give us a date, just say "something".

we pay monthly doesnt mean they are required to give you guys daily updates though

we have had 6 updates this month so far, thats 6 in 21 days, thats an update on average every 3-4 days

    and thats slow?

the entitlement in this thread is getting out of control, no game will ever give you what you want yet you obviously expect them too, several other games woulda probly banned you people from the forums by now for the sheer retardedness of your whiny demanding posts

If people are really this impatient they need to google translate the japanese dev tracker and muddle through the translations to get the gist of what was said. Not sure if they are going to bother with last mention of progress they put up. More then likely they will just skip it and go with the producers letter whenever its ready.

This is not off topic considering more than half the posts in this thread are direct criticisms of the way in which SE has or has not handled the release of patch 1.21 information in the face of a 2 week and potentially further delay.

Now I will start digging up proof of such criticism.

They could have released a bit of eye candy every so often to keep people excited. Their marketing is terrible. If this patch is so enormousness and grand then there is no reason -- whatsoever -- for them to have held their cards so close to their chest for this amount of time.

The reality is people are tired - which is 100 percent understandable regardless of how many droves of White Knights try to joust that fact down. They handled it wrong. As aforementioned if they have so much to bring to the table this time a slow build up of it, through various forms of information that is more tangible, is how it should have been handled.

    ......

As for your example as a graphic designer, cool story. We just don't live in the same real world I think. Delays happen often, everywhere, in all kind of activity sectors, especially when working internationally. It's always the same thing is the end, the customer only have one mean of pressure: not paying.
I wanted to reply to this post because it brought me some amusement. I highlighted one part which was particularly funny and the second part (sorry I edited out some stuff I found less interesting) about missing deadlines and not living in the same real world... I don't know what kind of a world you live in where it is ok to miss deadlines after deadlines with no communication with the client. In the real world I live in, if something gets delayed you keep the client up to date down to the minute of what is happening and why the delays has occured.

Do you realize that SE has not yet released a date nor deadline to which they have an obligation to fulfill? All that SE has ever released are projections and timelines that they use as goals. No where is it said that any of their patches will be released on such and such day, but rather, in every one of their posts they always leave themselves a margin of error with some fancy line such as "we reserve the right to change any and or all information heretofore mentioned" or "preojected dates are subject to change".
