I feel sorry for the people who assumed the event was like previous Moogle events, but at the same time... literally every other in-game event ends when the event ends. No seasonal event lets you turn in tokens after it ends so it was always a bit strange that the Moogle events allowed this.
So that being said, why are people treating these events differently? If you hand in your tokens for other events before it ends, why not the same here? And if you have so many tokens, why are you not buying as you go along? There's no rule saying that you have to do that, I'm just trying to understand what the thinking is.
Or do you literally already have everything you want and you were just trying to save them until the last moment to gauge marketboard prices to work out what to get so you can sell for the most profit?

I'm actually one of the poor saps that just likes to pile them up before figuring out what to spend them on. I generally don't hold them much after the end of an event because I want to make sure I don't lose them, but I like knowing I can't accidentally get more that would change my decisions.
I generally do that for all the moogle events, I earn my tomes, the event 'ends', I spend them all.
So I actually missed out on the Serpent Ring this time, because I had all my tomes ready to go and logged off ready to figure it out the next day. (There were no warning shouts on my server at that time btw)
I actually wouldn't mind if Sqenix only made the non-marketable items available for a store re-open, I don't want gil as much as I want things that are hard to grind for traditionally.

I just mistimed the ending was going to convert it into MGP tokens. Is it the end of the world, no. But it doesn't hurt for people to ask. If the forums were moderated they would combine the threads and delete the negative/combative comments so it would be easier for SE to gauge how many people like myself can't read it ended Monday morning and not at the weekly reset.
And again, just because you can do something does not mean you should, that it will be liked or appreciated, etc.Right. The same place they always tell people the tomes are only available to obtain during the event. That box is not new, just the addition that "item exchange" would also not be available. It would be nice if they explained why they changed things up, but it's their discretion to do that any time. They made sure the information was out there about the change.
But that's something the brown nosers can't recognize because they're too busy brown nosing.![]()

Honestly, the rewards were so underwhelming for me that I kinda forgot to cash in on my tomes. Got like 113 of the suckers without really thinking about the event at all. Whoops.

Artemiz can, and Artemiz will... apparently they think they are the forum "mom" or office manager or something. go apply to be a mod, or a life coach. you don't pay our subs Artemiz. and you certainly don't take time out of your day to help us with time management. apparently you just show up to haunt the forums and berate people with different views and habits.
well, Artemiz, you can thank people like us for getting Rainmaker put back in the game. d; in fact, go look at my post history. the last time i was here (in 2015) i was "begging and whining" for retainers in the Gold Saucer area.... while people like Artemiz told me "just go back to a city, it's a cheap teleport and takes a couple seconds. you shouldn't whine, i have good time management skills, blah blah blah" ......well, you're welcome.

not the moogle events though... the treasure trove has always let players use their tomestones after the event period is over... for like months. lol go ahead, go log in and look right now. the tome shop that was there before the Fanfest one is still up. and there are expensive/rare items from that trove which could be put on the market board too... no one is making any sense. least of all the devs.
the devs put Rainmaker hair, the FFXV crossover, Yokai-watch, and several other things back in the game after removing them (with no plans to put them back in, might i add). i really don't see why they can't open the Fanfest moogle shop back up until the next patch.... it's only like a month away if even... and WTF, if you're doing something for fans/players, why jerk it away from them like that or give such a strict deadline to spend in the first place? if that's how they felt, they should have made this event only have spendable tomes during the hours of Fanfest to begin with.
the whole point of a digital fanfest was so that NO ONE would miss it, this kinda defeats that point!

yeah, except if you go look now, the prizes for past tomes like this are literally just magicked prism of job mastery... lol
i have 126 moogles tomes of fanfare, and i am going to have to wait months to spend them on... lolfireworks.
I assure you, pulling a 'you don't pay my sub' is not under any circumstance going to make anyone want to agree with you.Artemiz can, and Artemiz will... apparently they think they are the forum "mom" or office manager or something. go apply to be a mod, or a life coach. you don't pay our subs Artemiz. and you certainly don't take time out of your day to help us with time management. apparently you just show up to haunt the forums and berate people with different views and habits.
