There will not be any further waves/releases of physical CEs. Everyone who missed out because of the time of release (such as east coast NA) will have no other chances of getting this from Square-Enix.

We're now at the mercy of scalpers selling them for $550+ on eBay, etc.

I'm extremely nettled as I did not have the opportunity to order because of the late hour of when the preorder actually went up. It was 1 AM EDT and most at that point were asleep. In my case, I had work that day. The fact that they sold out in under an hour makes it even worse.

Even managed to order it 5 minutes before my friend ordered his, My friend got his, but I was told “When it was ordered they were already sold” even tho they weren’t .... so even if they come back, Good Luck getting one with the shitty store system they have

EU is the same, not to mention all the people who did order within the first 10 minutes had there orders messed up and wont be getting anything... Scalefast/SE really screwed the pooch on this one. Hope they speak up soon about what they're doing, rather than some terrible email that just blames the customer and doesn't even acknowledge the issue that happened.

So basically, they didn't have enough stock to come anywhere close to meeting the demand, so it appears that the system chose people at random regardless of where they were in line. I guess it's great that Yoshi P himself acknowledged that this was a screw up on their part, but given the current state of the world they really should have prepared a lot better. The store itself usually functions just fine though. The site isn't really to blame. It's their lack of foresight.

I had the exact same response. The thing that irked me the most was the fact that the order was placed 5 minutes and 21 seconds after the pre-order page (EU) was live (the store page was being flooded by users). The Order page congratulated me on the purchase and till this day, it's still mentioned in the "My Orders"-page. However 5 days after after placing the pre-order, i got a mail from the store saying that "i was informed during the pre-order process that the item was sold out". I could not agree to this statement and i gave them a piece of my mind (in a decent and professional manner). I told them that the statement was not true and we never got that notification, but also that it was written in a unprofessional way towards the customer and sent 5 days after the pre-order.

They promised me that i would still be on the list, in case any of the pre-order were to be canceled. So, i'm not planning to cancel it. But, yeah. It was quite the mess honestly.

Yet I'm still on "pending".

It will soon be a month since that situation, I don't expect them to restock after a single month. Maybe 2 or 3 then we can start to panick.
The lack of communication is a bit more worrying, something simple as "Yes, we goofed and we are truly sorry about that" and with a confirmation they will be restocking or not.

I did get a response from the Store, after creating a ticket based on the mail i got (about the item being out of stock). They did apologize for the delay and any inaccurate information i may have received concerning the pre-order confirmation. They wished that they could give me a more detailed information about what happened, but they could only guess what happened. They finished off the reply with the confirmation that the pre-order is pending validation and hopefully new copies will be available soon, thanking me for my patience and understanding.

This is by no means a confirmation that they will get new CE's in stock and honestly the only thing they (as a store) can do at this point. If they do add more CE's to their stock, i won't expect them before mid October / beginning of November.

Yeah didn't get mine either but it is still in my order list but I can't do nothing with it.
And I have all the CE from 1.0 till shadowbringers so yeah if I mis this one I will be uncomplete ;(
