Did the 23 other players in the instance agree that no essences were fine? Furthermore, your logic can be turned on you as should pf a no essence run because you want to "chill" and find 23 likeminded players.

The question is, do you need an essence to even get into the instance? No. Therefore, it is fine. A players own opinion changes nothing on that fact. And no, the logic is not turned on me at all. We chill ones have no problems at all. You have the problem. You deal with it. But you don't want to do you? Nah, too much effort. Better to have others change for you, so you don't have to sort a problem you have out yourself.

To this day I actually have yet to see the kind of players people like MPK complain about, but this thread sure is doing the job of making them and their buddies seem absolutely right. Refusing to do what is the agreed bare minimum and then telling others to do the work if they don't want to play with you is the weirdest headspace I've encountered, people have every right to call you out for not -trying- and context matters. "I don't care for this content so I'm going to do everything I can to mentally check out and make others who had the misfortune to group with me hate it as much as I do". The complete lack of self-awareness by a couple folks in this thread is absolutely mindboggling.

Yeah, no hun, it's not agreed upon at all. Just because you and your peers have a set standard. Does not mean it holds true for everyone else on the planet. Take yourself out of your insulated bubble and realise that nobody is gonna change because you whine. You're an adult and you have an issue with the players you are meeting in duty que. Take action and get yourself into a group that suits your needs instead of crying how unfair it is people won't grind or spend gil to hit YOUR standard.
The lack of self awareness is people crying about essences and "lack of effort" that cannot be arsed to take a very VERY easy solution. It was 1am and DR speed runs were still up in PF. When I get to doing more relics I will be doing those myself when I do want to be more time efficient.
The difference is when I que with randoms from duty I don't expect everyone to know all mechanics, have essences etc and I don't get all precious about it unlike yourselves.

Don't address me like you know anything about how I play content since I'd argue I'm more casual and "chill" than you when it comes to things. When there's 23 other people saying hey you're doing this thing at best inefficiently or at worst flat-out wrong, you're welcome to plug your ears and go nah-nah-nah but it doesn't change the fact that you are actually trying to drag others down to your level of play rather than raise yours.

If building a PF of like-minded folks who can't be asked to drop a couple thousand gil on token essences is too much work for you, then you have no right to try and throw it back at actually prepared players like it's some kind of gotcha. The levels of No U are astounding. And if people calling you out is causing this much of a reaction then at some level it does bother you or you'd just hide your chat log and go on your merry way. And yeah people don't get to filter you out if they pick DF but they have every right to say "hey you can help improve future runs by doing this and that" and in other content the right to kick you.

Except. Not in a single run have I had 23 people or even 3 people say anything remotely close to what you are suggesting
I'm not actively trying to drag anyone down. Yknow what I'm doing? Enjoying myself, having a nice time with friends. What are you doing? Getting up tight about other people's play and whining when it will change nothing. You may as well bash your head against a wall at least u might make a dent. The game does not make it mandatory to use these, you can clear DR and Dalriada without using them. I'm not telling people in these instances using pots to match my casual playstyle but if YOU have a problem. It is not mine to deal with. There are easy steps you can take to get speed runs without first timers etc.

I have no need of a PF, I am content playing with anyone that appears in that duty, you are not. That is the point you seem unable to get. If I turn around and say I have this issue and I expect you to solve it FOR me. I expect you to tell me where to go. Not for u to bend over and take it cuz "oh I am here to do as you please" No. If you want something, make it happen. But no, you rather cry and cry. And tell others what they are doing is bringing you down. So easily brought down and tilted. Not sure this game is for you.

And no you have no right to kick someone from the duty if you say, "Hey, use this essence!" You can kick someone for afk or griefing. Not because they don't suit you. If I had someone speak to me like that and then found myself kicked I would be reporting that person for abuse of the kick feature. That's not what it is there for. If I were using a skill once every 10 seconds by all means boot me. If I am doing my usual dps rotation and not using a essence? lol no

I would suggest, if you don't like being addressed in a certain way... maybe dont make sweeping statements that are so inaccurate about other people hm? Honey buns?

I’m trying to figure out how someone can’t have any essences, I’ve done well over 100 runs of DR, and have yet to run out of essences to use (haven’t farmed them). You literally get them by doing the content. (SF, DR, Zad)

When you’ve done enough runs under 30 min, you’ll understand why people push the essences, it’s minimal effort to maximize time. If you’re not using them, you’re griefing everyone else as far as I’m concerned.
