Those things aren't mutually exclusive. It is racist because it's race specific exclusion.

It's not "racist" because it is not withholding something from you based on your real-world race. It is failing to deliver customisation choices for your virtual bunny girl, and equating that to racism does your argument (and the real issue) a disservice.

I have to wonder is, in what world did they think creating "same-face" "same-hair" syndrome was a good design decision over hairstyle and hats/helmets? The official reason for limiting female Viera was to "give them an unique head," yet from what I'm looking at they're not unique at all, they look exactly the same as female Miqo'te but with rabbit ears. Plop the hair on them just like the mod community does and call it a day.

I agree with the OP; nitpicking on words is a very convenient way to not discuss the topic.

That's why choosing words wisely is a good thing. Being unhappy about the viera hair is understandable enough.
I agree that ppl and myself are picky tho, but waiting on us to adapt is a Bad Idea. Just like us waiting on OP is a bad Idea as well.

But yeah it's cool if they keep viera hair update as a surprise but if it's not coming soon at least making it clear for players is a good thing.

Square enix is a multi billion dollar organization; they get paid to have community managers who will/might pass topics of discussion to them.

The FFXIV team is one that went through FFXIV 1.0 and the lead up to 2.0, they know criticism of the game is never personal and is always done out of love for the game. It's not when people are passionate/mean that you should worry, it's when they stop that you should. I've seen plenty of promising mmorpgs where the playerbase criticized the devs out of love, but now you go to their forums, social media, or discord and it's a desert. They couldn't pay anyone to give feedback about the game if they wanted to.

As for the topic at hand; I'll repeat, they will fix the hair situation sometime in Endwalker. I can't say it'll be 6.0 when Endwalker comes out, but I can almost guarantee that it'll be by 6.1. As much as they love everything to be a marketing surprise for Live Letters, etc, this issue with the hairstyles for female Viera really stings for them.

I understand pre-Shadowbringers hairstyles, but patch 5.5 is adding a new hairstyle and they can't use it, ouch.

This, the point is the hairs, the lack of communication on this issue, like SURE it's "cosmetic" but it's been a long term issue now, it's not "oh Viera just came out give them time they'll get stuff!", it's been long enough and there's nothing to be had, it's the same for Hrothgar. I'm a raider, my enjoyment of the game is content, I love doing all the gameplay things, side things like BLU, but "cosmetics" are still a core aspect of the game for myself and plenty of others, and when people are left in the dark on something like this for this long I would think people would understand when some start getting frustrated and kind of focus on the point of the issue.

Because Square is greedy and racist against Viera, they won't be getting a variant. Like, seriously. Enough is enough. It's dumb that they literally exclude hair variants for an entire race in the game due to greed. It should be a standard to make variants for Viera for every added hair.

There has been more than ample time to accomplish that. Now, they are going to add Viera boys just to increase the number of people they will racially exclude new customization options to in the name of greed. And yeah, they have every right to exclude races of customization additions, just as we have every right to complain and incentivize them to choose to stop excluding races.

It should be unacceptable at this point. This is not a status quo we should tolerate any longer. We have clearly waited long enough. Square is screwing us over because they refuse to give FFXIV its proper budget to meet what should be a minimum. Clearly, they aren't going to change anything on their own w/o us making a fit over it. After this long, that can not be denied.

Racist? Really ? Easy with serious allegations. Also, you might have access to the male viera haircut, you don't know yet.

But I agree with new haircuts not being accessible to hroth and viera is kinda ridiculous especially 2B ones. But that's on us I'd say,

Vote with your money is the clearest way to be understood, and when people jump to a race, get bored or annoyed and cash again to another race with that feature and then get bored and won a new top or bottom and it goes better in another race, they cash in again.

I dunno about SE but they seem to have higher priorities and if you can put something on wait and getting money from it. I sure as hell wouldn't hurry
