Put this in the megathread instead. It is more likely to get to the devs like that than in another small thread.

No, because that will get deluded with all other topics. Besides, people have already mentioned it there. Do you know what people notice? Multiple threads about the same thing making it impossible to ignore. Just having it pop up as a passing topic in a megathread is just having it swept under the rug. It's supposed to be annoying and exposed, else they have little reason to address it. Regardless, it can exist in both and it might as well.
Im still waiting for them to make The Cloud Hair easier to get...
You really shouldn't have said that, especially if you want to be taken seriously. You are not off to a good start. I stopped reading there. If this is the extreme you are willing to go to right out of the gate, you probably won't listen to reason.
Unfair and something they should fix? Definitely.
Greedy and racist? No.
I agree with the OP; nitpicking on words is a very convenient way to not discuss the topic.
Square enix is a multi billion dollar organization; they get paid to have community managers who will/might pass topics of discussion to them.
The FFXIV team is one that went through FFXIV 1.0 and the lead up to 2.0, they know criticism of the game is never personal and is always done out of love for the game. It's not when people are passionate/mean that you should worry, it's when they stop that you should. I've seen plenty of promising mmorpgs where the playerbase criticized the devs out of love, but now you go to their forums, social media, or discord and it's a desert. They couldn't pay anyone to give feedback about the game if they wanted to.
As for the topic at hand; I'll repeat, they will fix the hair situation sometime in Endwalker. I can't say it'll be 6.0 when Endwalker comes out, but I can almost guarantee that it'll be by 6.1. As much as they love everything to be a marketing surprise for Live Letters, etc, this issue with the hairstyles for female Viera really stings for them.
I understand pre-Shadowbringers hairstyles, but patch 5.5 is adding a new hairstyle and they can't use it, ouch.

That's convientant because I don't care to listen to reasons defending Square on this. I only care to see it addressed or at least acknowledged with some sort of plan to remedy it. What's the point of anything else at this point? It's not like some complex debate to be had. It's past due it was addressed. It's either going to get addressed or it isn't, and I want to add to the pressure of it being chosen to be addressed. You being sensitive over the words I choose to describe Square's actions changes nothing about the situation, does it? It is racist because it's race specific and I think anyone who thinks greed isn't a component gives far too much credit towards corporate entities. After this point, I'm beyond giving Square the benefit of the doubt. Maybe a year ago, sure. Not now. You can lick Square's boots though, by all means.
Those things aren't mutually exclusive. It is racist because it's race specific exclusion. Not greedy? You can have your odd faith in Square. I'm going to presume the corporation who exists to milk profit from consumers is going to be motivated by lining their own pockets though.
