The problem is the bar is so low the rest of the group can pick up the slack for others person. Time is not so much a factor cause in most cases the content can and will be cleared in a timely matter. What do you mean enjoy playing the job that way? What is that way? There are many ways to play. I am not expecting everyone to have the best performance in every run, I am expecting basic competency. And in case it is lacking, I am expecting that you can at least communicate. Tell us why you are unable to play and give us a good reason to carry you. "It is just fun for me to be bad" is not good enough.
When your enjoyment comes at the expense of the people around you, you are toxic. You may not be using words, but your actions speak louder.
You don't have to queue up with random people when you give zero ****s how your actions are affecting them and feel you have no obligation or responsibility with the role that you've picked to play, you can always do dungeons with your squadron or trust npc-s. When you are with people, things are expected of you.
In short you will be told your expectations are too high.
I find the cries about abuse ironic as someone who wants a parser so I can defend myself more easily when I'm griefed and insulted for "not healing" (really just not GCD healing when there is nothing to GCD heal) or "show don't tell" people that healers should DPS.
im baby
Aye, I would love to just link a parse when my co healer calls me out for not healing. Would shut them up real quick, or when you get that random player talking big but they are literally on the bottom of the meters bursting that bubble would be nice also.
Some forms of calling people out with data is helping.
Perhaps you should.
The Koike incident involved a group who not only trolled the host through spinning the boss, purposefully targeting her with AoEs and various other griefing tactics that all remain possible now. In fact, the game has since added one with the notorious Rescue. Nevertheless, they took it a step further and sexual harassed her via Twitter once the party disbanded. These are detestable pieces of garbage that no pro-parser is supporting. Attempting to draw even the slightest correlation between them and people who simply want data made public is incredibly disingenuous. It's no different than if I insinuated the majority of players are bad simply because of a handful "toxic casual" examples I've encountered over the years.

"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Even with an 'official parser' added that would still lead to you having a nice chat with a GM.Aye, I would love to just link a parse when my co healer calls me out for not healing. Cant stand tanks who spin the boss. Dont want to imagine the rage melee with positionals are feeling..Perhaps you should.

Not 100% true cause parsing is against the ToS due to the third party clause. Linking numbers in itself by most reasonable standards would not be viewed as harassment. Context is what would make it harrassment. Unless somewhere is the ToS it stats that showing data is prohibited.
moblie sorry by linking numbers I am saying the source is what is the issue not the data. By allowing the use of parsing it would make the source legitimate and thus by proxy the data it gathers also fair care. Now if I said something with the data then they may have a claim to harrassment. Though posting numbers should not be viewed as such. Not 100% true cause parsing is against the ToS due to the third party clause. 1. To call out someone, which could be regarded as harassing them. Yes, even with just a readout that shows them that their numbers suck, as the intention is pretty clear and obvious, especially if you address them as well.
or 2. To brag, which, well, it's not a ToS violation I suppose but it is in bad taste when you're with strangers.
I figured it would be in the same vein as silent kicks sure we can speculate all we want but without direct evidence a GM will not act on it. Granted this is an assume based around how GM act now.Why are you showing data if not:

Back in WoW when someone would say something contrary to the data I would just post the logs in chat.
Maybe I could get caught for spam, though harrassment with how strict GM's seem to be with evidence if I just post it without saying a word I personally do doubt they will do anything.
