"Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. They stood back to back as the galaxy burned - always brothers, never friends; traitors together unto the last."
--an excerpt from a Night Lords Novel, "Void Stalkers" Chapter X: Revenge.
You’re Titanmen, he’s Titanmen, they’re Titanmen, I’m Titanmen
Are there any other Titanmen I should know about?

Is it really that helpful to be naming users like this? It may even be against the forum guidelines to do so.

I'm not particularly afraid in this instance. I could've sworn I've done it once before, but it's not in my post history, so either the thread it was in got nuked or it got deleted. Either way I didn't eat a ban over it, and a quick search on any of these accounts shows I'm not just blowing smoke.
I'll risk punitive action if it means making people more aware, in any case.

I think people are already well aware in many threads, when every third post is something along the lines of: "troll post", "troll thread", etc.. Maybe people just choose to have a discussion regardless, on the merits of the thread topic, or in reply to other users?I'm not particularly afraid in this instance. No thanks to a karma system, certainly not for a forum like this. One thing noticeably absent from this forum is the typical forum nerd herd who roll about the place "policing" it while backing each other up and basking in their own echo chamber. It's been a forum trope for 20 years or more and karma systems feed them.
Also, unpopular people sometimes still make good points and funny well liked people talk crap. Is it really that hard to judge an argument on it's merits?
You’re probably not wrong about most of those but it really isn’t going to help. Even if the regulars are aware of who’s who for trolls, there will always be people who just pop on from time to time and get all riled up. And tbh most of the time the troll and bait thread go on forever because people start responding to said people who don’t realize it’s a bait thread and start giving their genuine (usually bad) takes on the topic of choice.I'm not particularly afraid in this instance. Take the “what content was cut for male viera” thread, started by everyone’s favorite special little lala, MPK. It’s very clearly a bait thread, yet it’s filled with people who genuinely think this content was cut for them. And so people go in there and begin fighting with people who actually hold that belief. And so on and so forth. So knowing the thread is started by a troll account isn’t really going to stop people from posting in it unless they know from the get go. Even then, some people just like to argue. A lot of us are bored. It’s admirable that you’re trying to keep people informed but it’s probably a waste of your energy.
I ain't really getting in the way of that though, am I? 'sides, you should've seen me around enough to know that I, too, occasionally have serious discussions in troll threads (or get baited myself). If I'm aware it's a troll thread, though, I never respond to the OP, but rather, the users discussing.
Only really the regulars would know in any case; I think warning about troll threads being troll threads still has merit.
I mean, yeah, it probably is a waste of energy, but you can find me saying "titanmen necros the best threads" all the way back on the first page of my posting history so I've quite literally been doing it since I've joined at this point. Not about to quit it until the mods specifically come around to tell me to stop. You’re probably not wrong about most of those but it really isn’t going to help.
