Karma system in the official forums?

I guess sometimes it is not easy enough for some people with almost 6k posts.

For me personally there's a huge difference between ignorance and apathy. Anymore I usually fall into the latter wayyyy more often than the former. I almost always know when someone is trolling, but I've learned to just roll with it if there's some actual discussion to be had. I have my moments though and sometimes I lose my cool. I will never claim to be perfect.

To be fair, my last account had like a few thousand posts on it or something ridiculous. Post capped daily for ages.

Then I moved abroad and couldn't buy expansions for it because their system is dumb, and here I am to rebuild.

WoW's forums used to have a like/dislike system that had dislikes removed as they fostered echo chambers and abuse. Even their post flagging system is used abusively, to bury stuff they don't agree with rather than truly offensive or rulebreaking content.

We don't need that type of thing. Thanks, but no thanks.

A Helpful/Not Helpful system could definitely allay those issues however.

People would just label stuff they don't agree with as unhelpful, regardless of how actually helpful it is.

If it's blatant trolling, report it. We don't need a reddit like system. WoW's forums used to have one, and it was abused by easily offended people, so they removed it. I fully expect the same to happen here.

Well, a helpful/not helpful system seems like it'll prevent an echo chamber from forming. What is your opinion?
