Especially since Yoshi said he's happy with BLU (and considers it a success) and we don't know what more they wanna do with BLU, it might not be till 7.x we see another limited job.
Even if they had something for 6.0 they probably won't announce it until we're closer to the actual release.
What else is Yoshida going to say? "No. We're disappointed with the reception." That only adds to the already existing stigma.

As for announcing a second Limited Job. They announced Blue Mage at NA Fanfest, well over a year before Shadowbringers release. Fanfest is literally the vehicle they use to showcase major content. They aren't going to announce a second Limited Job randomly a month or two before Endwalker. They've never added anything suddenly like that before. Likewise, if reception of Limited Jobs were positive, they wouldn't put it on ice for two years. Case in point, Delubrum is already being cited as continuing in the next expansion. Bozja is another example, having succeeded Eureka.

Something to keep in mind. When they advertised Blue Mage, Yoshida outright mentioned they were already pondering Beastmaster and Puppetmaster as potential second Limited Jobs. To go from hinting at follow up additions to putting the whole system on ice for two years isn't a ringing endorsement of the content.

I mean half of the enemy NPCs in Bozja have been beast masters. That feels like it could definitely be hinting at something.

I mean... they've done it before.
Them being consistent makes more sense to me than them suddenly gas lighting us.

Sure, that's how they did it with BLU, but one data point does not make a pattern. Sure, we might be able to make some guesses based off that, but the conclusion I feel you're so ready to jump to (no 2nd limited job? So they agree it's a failure then) is not a reasonable conclusion to draw.

First point: not giving us a second job doesn't equate to putting "the whole system on ice for two years." BLU has continued to get updates in spite of the pandemic forcing them to axe all, what was the phrase, "non-essential content?"

Additionally: You're right in that he teased Beast Master and Puppet Master, but what he didn't mention was their timetable. I want more just as much as you do. I'm itching for it. It doesn't seem like we have any reason to set their deadline to Friday.

Yes, he would say something like that if they actually found BLU to be a failure.

The system has not been on Ice for two years. BLU got updates in both 5.1 and 5.4 when it was introduced in 4.5. 2020 was also a crappy development year that caused a lot of content delays even if they did manage to get back on track. I would not be surprised if BST was planned for a 5.5 release originally but was pushed back into 6.X because of 2020.

When? Even Diadem and LoV Yoshida hasn't outright disparaged despite the former being overhauled three times and the latter more or less abandoned.

The consistent trend they've shown is when content is well received they either repeat or build on top of it. We've seen that with Deep Dungeon, Eureka, Delubrim and etc.

That is literally the definition of the term "put on ice". It means to stop working on a project or do so sparingly at best. Deep Dungeon would be an example fitting this category for Shadowbringers. Speaking of, they're bringing it back purely due to player demand. It wasn't intended to come back, or so was implied.

Blue Mage being updated doesn't mean they'll continue Limited Jobs beyond this initial outing. They announced already having a set number of abilities already in development at the time of its release. This suggests a great deal of the work had been done earlier.

Ultimately, I could very much be wrong. As someone who has every ability and actually enjoys Blue Mage, I'd like for them to do more with the system. But I'm well aware it simply isn't popular and never has been. Hence my conclusion.

Please re-read my post. I specifically referred to them not releasing a new Limited Job would be putting the system on ice. Not that it currently is.

You're right. They don't typically do that because they way they behave is to go silent when things aren't working, not to emphatically lie.
However, we do have examples of them admitting their disappointment, like when they said they were surprised the MNK rework wasn't being well received.

And they have build on top of it. As Ultimatecalibur said

They're still building on BLU. You seem to not think this counts? I can understand where you're coming from to an extent, but, to return to the main point, I still can't follow you to your original conclusion that we should treat Friday like their deadline, especially when so many of BLU's critics have said they need to "fix" BLU before entertaining the idea of another limited job.

Yup, you're right. And we could probably use that to draw some conclusions... if only their original plans were still on track.
    Alas, that pesky global pandemic...
