This, especially after the most recent update. You could legit just make a duty set out of its current optimal dps setup and have that be a normal job, the rotation is legitimately fun and engaging now, even with no job gauge . Tank and healer duty sets would be more difficult but again not impossible.

I disagree heavily. Blue Mage is not broken or a mistake in its current iteration. It enjoys the powers, like its instant death spells, because they didn't want to restrict it and be unfaithful to it as a job. In order to implement it in this game at all, that meant having to restrict it to be an expansion level tier behind.
If they made it into a regular job, they would take away everything that is enjoyable about it, and it would just be a generic caster, and it would likely lose spells that are favored entirely. I can understand why people want it to be a normal job, as it seems to be player/human nature to want to main a specific job that you have an affinity for, but sadly this is not the FF online for that. If you want to play an FF where BLU is king, you have options. FFV, FFVI, FFIX, and FFXI are all games where BLU was implemented and it is insanely powerful to the point of breaking the game if used with full knowledge. FFXI is even an MMO.
Also keep in mind that all of your arguments about BLU needing PF and other players and the hot moment is wrong, though perhaps true in the past. Now that it has Basic Instinct, a BLU with Basic Instinct active is effectively as powerful as 4 BLUs without it, only stymied by needing to constantly heal themselves. This lets BLU acquire 102 of the current 104 spells solo. While you can't finish your Blue Mage log that way, part of your argument undercuts itself by saying that the BLU content is a, "Why bother" or a "why bother more than once" kind of content. There isn't much gained other than completionism by doing the BLU log, so it's just something to get friends together for if you're bored with nothing better to do, anyway.
In its current form BLU is insanely fun. More fun to me than most of the battle content, due to its high power. I would never want to see it become a normal job, because it would lose this side of itself due to limited development time.
As far as the Masked Carnivale goes, in the modern era of FFXIV, the developers are afraid of corporate. They want to please a wider audience, and this means trying to make content that is both challenging but approachable. Which means that most content cannot be truly challenging, as the lower end players will be turned away if it is.
Because BLU is meant to be able to do everything, in order to be a faithful representation of its roots, it doesn't mesh well with most people. The majority of people who play FFXIV want no responsibility and no thought in their job class and play. They want to press maybe 5 buttons at most in a set order, and then turn their brains off. That is ultimately what you are asking them to turn BLU into, and that would be a travesty.

I agree on some point , but still as one of BLU lovers I still want to see it as normal job instead limiting this job into some sub-content that not really important except breaking the FATE event like yokai / speed run farming mog tome event.
the biggest problem is currently BLU have almost 0 attention from developer team , like the current update ( 1 Carnival stage only? bruh ) , as for clearing savage SB tier only rewarding title I can understand they might want lock something again on the future (like morbol mount req. COB & Alexander savage clear) . And all of that end-game content as BLU I mention above has almost 0 replay-ability ( if you say "you can farm glamour from old savage with it" I will just use main job and undersize it easier that way ).
The current BLU is Fun! Yes it is fun , but in what content that we can bring in the "FUN" we got... even now as lv 70 BLU we still can't access the big major content on 70 like Eureka / Ultimates or even the deep dungeons.... all of your hardwork collecting those skills , again only for 1 time achievement then do what except breaking the Event like mog tome or FATE event like yokai? .
Also last thing... it's really annoying to keep extra gear slot 10 level below my main job only exclusive for BLU while if BLU was not limited they can share the gear with other caster on same level...

I disagree a lot with most of what you say here. This version of BLU isn't somehow more faithful to the rest of the BLU's in the franchise, in most of those games BLU would be considered a "generic caster" by your metric just with a different way of learning. As it stands when BLU raiding atm you are basically just a normal job 90%+ of the time, "pressing your 5 buttons" or whatever absurd reductive argument you've come up with. The current trend of BLU updates has been making BLU MORE "generic" (by your standards), adding in spells that make them fit in more with the rest of the game and fleshing out their rotations.

Friday will determine that. If no second Limited Job is announced. That is essentially the dev team acknowledging Blue Mage was a failure. Or the system itself at the very least. FFXIV is notorious for clinging to content or concepts. For them to abandon what was advertised as a major piece of Fanfest only two years prior would speak volumes to the lackluster reception.
With that said, a decent amount of fault lies on the dev team for their horrendous presentation of Blue Mage and the Limited Job system. Not only was announcing at directly after the Datacenter split a bad idea, but to release what was little more than a beta only served to strengthen the negative opinions people already had. We were told Blue Mage was limited due to its sheer imbalance and overpowered gameplay yet its 4.5 release showed the exact opposite. Having no worthwhile tank skills and being weaker than every DPS job at 50, it basically could do nothing "solo" except heal to full. They promptly ignored it for nearly a year. Hence why despite some respectable changes, people still despise the overall concept. I'm reminded of Heavensward Astro and how the dev team ultimately broke the job completely in a desperate plea for players to give it a second chance after they messed up so badly. Blue Mage kinda had its second chance but doesn't look to have the turnaround Astro did.

Why is the deadline Friday?
Especially since Yoshi said he's happy with BLU (and considers it a success) and we don't know what more they wanna do with BLU, it might not be till 7.x we see another limited job.
Even if they had something for 6.0 they probably won't announce it until we're closer to the actual release.

What else is Yoshida going to say? "No. We're disappointed with the reception." That only adds to the already existing stigma.
As for announcing a second Limited Job. They announced Blue Mage at NA Fanfest, well over a year before Shadowbringers release. Fanfest is literally the vehicle they use to showcase major content. They aren't going to announce a second Limited Job randomly a month or two before Endwalker. They've never added anything suddenly like that before. Likewise, if reception of Limited Jobs were positive, they wouldn't put it on ice for two years. Case in point, Delubrum is already being cited as continuing in the next expansion. Bozja is another example, having succeeded Eureka.
Something to keep in mind. When they advertised Blue Mage, Yoshida outright mentioned they were already pondering Beastmaster and Puppetmaster as potential second Limited Jobs. To go from hinting at follow up additions to putting the whole system on ice for two years isn't a ringing endorsement of the content.
