Still find it funny people called the female Viera masculine for being aloof and reserved, like, what were you expecting from a not-amazonian warrior? to act like a Gold Saucer attendant? lol

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Some of them were yeah, but I remember seeing a lot of complaints back then like: Viera height makes them masculine, their run animation makes them masculine, emotes, etc. It was definitely a thing. Apparently, a lot of people playing this game associate 'feminine' with small and cutesy specifically. Many people were really just wanting those "Feol viera" or whatever, something along the lines of miqo'te with bunny ears.
That cracks me up to this day. Back in early Shadowbringers, people tried HARD to make the Viera as "Miqo'te-like" as possible. Making them minimum height, dressing them skimpy or cutesy glam, giving them bright colors, even attaching the werewolf ears to them. Then they got bored and fantasiaed into an actual Miqo'te.I remember seeing a lot of complaints back then like: Viera height makes them masculine, their run animation makes them masculine, emotes, etc. It was definitely a thing. btw, both Feol Viera and regular Viera were the same height. The only difference is the Feol having fairer skin & hair with shorter ears [which means you can make a Feol with Veena Vieras]. The meme graphic that was passed around made Feol deceptively short
