Maybe I'm wrong, maybe not but I'm sure they can do better than this.
Not to be rude, but... if those people dont lose their houses its because they actually use them at least once in 45 days. And I dare say that its "more fair" (...is that proper english? Sounds wrong...) for someone who cares enough about multiple homes to visit them this one time in a 45 day period in which said person keeps an active sub than for someone to sit on a house they apparently forget about for over a month, despite keeping an active sub.

As a little sidenote: I doubt that on most worlds a signifcant amount of plots would open if those who were grandfathered in would lose their plots. Same goes for those who somehow game the system by using shell-FCs and the like, but here I would be more inclined to agree that anyone who violates not only the word but the spirit of the rules should lose those extra houses.

...which still wouldnt help because we'd still have more demand than supply - which is why we have the timer now: To make sure that the houses belong to people who are "actively" using them. With a kinda love bar for anyone whos keeping an active sub (one step into the house every 45 days).

I do agree though that they should do better than they - mainly by finding a way to add instance housing. Until they do I'd say this is the best system we'll get to make sure that the houses go to active players who are actually using them. Even though it really sucks for anyone who loses their house due to some real lofe catastrophe - those are the people I feel deeply sorry for... anyone who just forgets to enter their house for over a month... probably didnt really use the house in the first place.
