Unbearable server lag since yesterday

Well I'm on the Faerie server (Aether) and I've been having the spike issue and I'm in the UK, no issues with any other internet related game

Well my excellent connection switched to poor sometime yesterday. And with that came huge lag spikes making the game almost unplayable. Tried resetting router, and almost decided to reinstalling the game. Though i tried switching to different countries with a vpn and had excellent connecting when switching to Netherlands for some reason. I'm from Denmark btw. All my other games works flawless without a vpn. So some package loss must happen on the way to the server somehow.

A 3rd person from Denmark here, having the exact same problem, and I've played just about non-stop since Stormblood release, only very rarely had problems like this single evenings and it never persisted till the next day like it does now.

4th person from Denmark. Exact same problem: usual excellent connection, now poor for the past couple of days. Remember it happening a few months ago and resolved itself pretty quickly. On Moogle, Chaos datacentre.

Just curious - do any of you use the google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4 ?

That's a good call to check DNS servers. I'm using 208.67.222.222 / 208.67. 220.220 which is the Open DNS server.

I'll try changing it to a few and test if that improves the situation and report back.

Sadly this likely wont fix the issue. I've tried going from my ISP (xfinity) default to google and nada afterwards. The only solution without ATT/Xfinity/FF14 figuring it out would be a VPN and going around xfinity/comcast which shouldn't be expected/acceptable from us as the consumer.

Same problem the last few days. HUUUUGE sever lag. my provider? You guessed it, Comcast.
