Unbearable server lag since yesterday

Don't know if any other Dancers are having the same problem, but I literally cannot finish a full 4-step technical step, even if there appears to be no lag at the moment.

I can finish standard step every time, but never technical.

So it's unplayable for me even when there isn't an evident lag spike.

Very weird, but mostly annoying and frustrating. Two days now I haven't been able to play without the nauseating rubber-banding.

Ping has 25-50% dropped packets, issues seem to spike HARD around the same point as a few Traceroutes posted before.

It seems to me that this sort of thing happens a few days prior to every big patch. Although not as bad as I had it last night, usually the problem is a disconnect, not just lag.
That being said, I had the problem last night, most noticeably doing Chocobo races.

I logged in this morning before work and ran one race as a test, without any problems. Granted that isn't exactly peak time on Mateus, 7:30am.
Also yes, Comcast.

An update after uninstalling the game... seems to either not be connected, or it made it worse.

Now loading NPCs was so slow, I had to sit there for 30 seconds while the NPCs loaded in.

I feel somewhat encouraged that someone from Europe not on Comcast had this issue... perhaps it's not a Comcast problem, but just a FFXIV problem.

Edit: I will also add Mumble had no lag, and I could stream Netflix, Youtube, load other webpages without issue last night, but FFXIV forums were slow to load, and the game laggy. I haven't tried other games, but it does lean towards something specific to FFXIV in my mind. But unsure why it's only a few of us, and there aren't more reports... if it was this widespread, wouldn't it be blowing up the forums with reports? It seems to be coming from all over the country, one or two people reporting in. Unless the rest are just dealing with it and not saying anything, lol.

I play on Primal and I've had the same issue with lag the last couple days. I've had delays when using skills, rubber-banding of enemies and other players, and also had one complete disconnect from the server last night.

I have Xfinity internet, connecting from New Mexico, but my internet connection itself doesn't seem to have been the issue as I was in a discord call while I was playing and the call didn't have any noticeable connection issues or drops in quality.
