I'd argue raising the bar would filter out everybody but the achievement hunters and collectors.


Yep. Increasing requirements would only make the problem worse. The correct way to address it is to remove all the incentives: No mount, no titles, no costumes. Only display the icon in NN or when queued via mentor roulette.

Once those are in place then the requirements can be reviewed for reduction.

Even Mentor Roulette shouldn't be a thing. It's something to aim for, something someone may want.. and thus becomes one of those 'this is the only reason I became a mentor' things. Ergo, leaving it solves nothing.
