Once the content is old and people stop running it the prices will skyrocket again, DR is not evergreen content like PotD or HoH.

Just my two cents but if people are buying items at that high of a cost, it's basically going to set the standard. Like, and this is just an example, if I got the hair on Day 1 and found a buyer to grab it for 20m off the PF, then everyone else who was watching that sale go down will set theirs for a similar price because they know 20m is attainable. If you want things to be priced lower, people have to stop buying things are exorbitant prices. However, that most likely wont happen since there are many players out there who have been here since 1.0 sitting on hundreds of millions of gil. So, to them, 20m is a drop in the bucket.

Unless SE starts setting prices for things instead of leaving it to the playerbase, things will ALWAYS cost an arm and a leg for extremely rare drops when they first come out. The hair has dropped down to 8m I think in my server which is a massive drop from the 25m people were getting Day 1. Gotta deal with it and not get it, grind for as long as it takes or pay for it. Sadly, there isn't a 4th option.

That's the second reason I won't buy it even after 53 fruitless runs (the first being, it would just add insult to injury). I won't ever buy a hairstyle that costs more than a house. It's a matter of proportion.

DR is evergreen content because of Resistance Weapons. Players will be farming for them in the future just as they are currently farming for Zodiac, Anima and Eureka weapons. There are other players who still go into Eureka to farm for its rare items that are worth millions on the MB. We'll see the same thing happen with this.

Inflation has nothing to do with it, nor should you be basing any such claims off the price of a house. Player controlled pricing and game controlled pricing work in different ways.

It's a supply versus demand issue. We see this happen with every new item introduced to the game that can be sold on the marketboard. Sellers set initial prices high based on expected rarity and demand. Prices then settle as buyers show what they're willing to pay.

This item is not Night Pegasus whistle rarity. It's Gyr Abanian Plait rarity. We're going to see the same price pattern emerge, with it fluctuating depending on how many players are actively farming content for their relics.

Yes, but the difference is that DR is entirely optional after the first run, you can get Timeworn Artifacts elsewhere as well.

Eureka sees less than twenty people on a given average nowadays. It's actually quite difficult to get Eureka weapons because so few people bother with the zone. How likely do you think twenty-four people will queue for DR when they're no longer pursuing a relic? Unlike the Zodiac and Anima weapons, you're reliant on other people to queue into content that can't be unsynced.

Actually, it's somewhere in the middle. The drop rate is lower than Gry Abanian Plait and it takes substantially longer to clear DR than floors 20-30 of HoH but not as long as going down to floors 160-200 of PotD. There's a reason Plait dipped below the million threshold within two weeks whereas Early Rise still sits at almost 10M.

To be fair, while I agree the droprate is too low and people are only really running DR for the relic which will skyrocket the rarity in the future, houses are far too cheap for what they are. Players also have no control over their price either.
