Rng is pretty low. I got it in 7 runs, but friends have done 40+ and not seen it.


Wouldn't mind it being buyable with silver or gold coins. Even a lot of them.

A friend was begging folks for the hair.... when an entire linkshell is running it repeatedly and nobody ever sees it drop, the rate is too low. I finally just bought it for her because I felt so bad. (Money can't by happiness, but it can be things which give happiness to other people, which is almost as good.)

Drop rate reminds me of the mount drop rates. 1% at most.

It's "only" 8 million instead of 20 (and that seems consistent across Elemental DC as far as I've checked), but that's still a huge amount of money to be asking from a player.

Affordable for people who've been around for a while, but far out of the reach of newer players - my alts are around late SB or into ShB, generally with a lot of rouletting and multiple classes raised, and that would be all the money they own.

I hope it will drop further, but I'm worried that it won't. Or it won't stay down.

Unfortunately, now might be the best time to buy these items. When people have had their fill of this content, the prices will likely jump right back up. Unless SE does something about this content and these drop rates, or cross-datacenter travel alleviates this - even then it would still likely be high.

Yeah, I would buy them as soon as the prices bottom out...unless they have already. That's what I did with the mount, barding and minion. Don't really like the hair myself so I'm saving some gil there.

OK I am now pretty sure this hair dosnt exist and we are all just hallucinating it, those who have it have normal hair but we perceive it differently in the hope it's real.

I shouldn't have had to buy it after (so far) 56 RUNS! I STILL have not seen the hair, nor the mount, nor the barding drop. A party member in a DR I ran last night was telling me in 127 runs they saw it drop... ONCE! It's ridiculous! It really doesn't feel like they are expecting people to run it 15 times, rather they are expecting people to run it 255 times, and most should get a drop by then.

It took me about 30 runs to get it.Rng is rng.People need to accept that.Also as of now prce on my servers is down to about 10 mil and dropping.The price will eventually drop down to much less.
If people had patience they can jsut wait til the price massivly drops to affordable price.
I think the bigger issue is people want the hair asap to show off to people before it becomes common and nothing more.
Otherwise whats the problem waiting seriously?

I really dislike the pattern of locking hairstyles behind content as prestige items. Glamour and mounts, fine. But hairstyles can be such an integral part of a character design, and it's so offputtimg that some will be permanently locked behind these high prices and arbitrary grinds while others are free or easily obtained.

What will inevitably happen is they'll stuff it into the Moogle event token thing or whatever Eureka/Bozja equivalent they release in the next expansion. Then again, the HoH hairstyle has neither been put elsewhere nor seen a single buff to its drop rate. So... this hairstyle could become next to impossible to get by 6.0.
