And even if they do plan that far in advance, all it means is every Ultimate release date has been shifted. So again, there is no confirmation of any cut Ultimate.

At that point we're really just arguing semantics.

Sure you could say that "no ultimate was cancelled, it's just delayed to 6.1 and then the Ultimate for 6.5 is delayed to 7.1 and the ultimate for 7.5 is delayed to 8.1"...etc

Or we can just admit that they cancelled an ultimate because if we continue to play the delay game then we'll reach the end of XIV's lifespan at some point. Do we really need to wait until they delay the ultimate for 11.5 to 12.1, which will never exist, to admit to the obvious?

It doesn't matter what you think about ultimate, or any "delayed" content for that matter. Love it, hate it, be indifferent about it, I don't care, but let's stop using "it's only delayed" for content that just doesn't get delivered.



Ultimate is content that only very few people do, that's no surprise considering most of XIV's playerbase is not interested in difficult content. But would you make the same excuses if they delayed the 5.5 24man to 6.1 or the new Bozja zone to 6.1, to then make a vague statement about there being maybe 3 24man raids in Endwalker?
