FF Youtubers are always wrong

That’s not happy I was talking about there. There was some youtuber who constantly referred to the game as forespoken. Some guy sitting in his room. He gave about ten reasons why that was definitely the name.

So the least he could do is admit he was wrong. But nope, now I’m sure he’s telling us all what the new job is absolutely definetly going to be, until it’s not.

To be honest it is kind of weird to see you seems really bothered by this. I mean, like, really bothered. I just don't understand why.

Do you expect some random guy you don't even know to apologize to you personally if you perceive that they have done something wrong before it stops bothering you?

Everything you read online should be taken with a grain of salt, until it can be verified. I remember last year, when the PS5 was yet to be revealed to the public, every site was posting almost on a daily basis that they had "new information" on the console and what the "definite" look would be of the console in question. My news feeds were filled daily with the same messages from different websites, and they were claiming that they were true. The thing was, mostly when it comes to the look of it, it was based on concept images from LetsGoDigital and literally everyone jumped on the "bandwagon".

As we move closer to a reveal of an expansion, you see the same trend happen. Based on what people find online, they claim that they have the latest information on the expansion pack. If you look at them, 99% of it is pure speculation, based on what they've read in the lore, the dialogs, the direction in which the current expansion is going etc. But, the actual reveal is the only real source of relevant information. News site and content creators that share "news", are all hoping that they were right, so that they can say "See, i was right!" or have a "scoop" that might attract (more) viewers.

But, hey. If they want to do that, i'm fine with that. I won't see them in a bad light, if they happen to get it wrong. I'll keep my hype in check, by waiting for the next bit of official news they release in may. The Endwalker reveal was a very pleasant surprise for me. And that's also the thing i like to see, the reactions of others when they see the reveal themselves. Mainly to see if they were as surprised / excited as me.

Its youtube theyll say anything for revenue...usually most FF ones seem genuine aside from that one dude that has that fake youtuber accent ya know the "stupid" voice far removed from there regular one

They rely on assuming SE will add jobs based on what players vocally want. But in reality they kind of just add completely random stuff.

There’s all these people making money off of Final Fantasy 14 videos, and they speculated what was going to happen. Meoni, Mr Happy, Zepla, that everyday gaming channel..

And once again not a single one predicted sage and all of their videos turned out to be a waste of time.

Just wondering why this is. If this was world of Warcraft they would have correctly predicted the destination, the story, the jobs, the main features and everything else. Mists of Pandaria seemed out of left field yet the whole thing was predicted way in advance.

Do Japanese companies just have less leaks? Or are the youtubers worse? At this point I don’t see what worth they really have to the community as they’re always wrong.

They are a waste of time, many of the clear videos of x content is often not quite optimal either and does not take the height for different groups and alternative routes.

There is nothing proper they can explain about FFXIV, without SE actually having the final word, also another discipline in the east about leaks, unless they are done on purpose from SE to give a hint, and it also points out that these people on youtube or whatever media is clueless about what is really going on.

As you see the only actual accurate stuff they show, is stuff that has already been shipped out in text form already or in news letters from SE whenever it get to it, also the reason as one of the only MMO's I have played, that I take my time to read and watch what officially is sent out by SE as it is.

Again you miss my point. And I’m not bothered, I just reply to the thread because people do.

No I don’t expect a personal apology. I expect people who continually fail at their job to lose said job as you do in the real world.

As a community surely we could do better and deserve better than some ugly guy in his bedroom insisting it’s called something it’s not with nothing to back it up with.

I hang out on the lore forum here and on some Discord channels. I never see anyone talk about Youtubers or getting information from them.

The title Forspoken and the job rumours are all swirling about the fandom, stemming from official sources like filed trademarks and in-game hints.

Youtubers are repeaters of this information, not the primary source. They just happen to have a megaphone to share their take on it.

These types of content creators are generally overpopular and thus get treated like authorities on the game when really it's just their opinions. And because people are hyped for the expansion it's a prime time to put out any sort of video to make some revenue off of the buzz.

Then don't watch them, they're the product and you're the consumer. If you don't like what they're putting out then stop giving them clicks that's literally all there is to it. You want someone's channel to die because they got speculation wrong?
