Try again. If you're going to use quote marks, at least copy-paste stuff instead of making it sound like I said something I didn't. Also, There's way more context and nuance to my comments than what you make it out to be.
I've been asking for a gesture, it doesn't have to be financial. The entire process is a pain in the ass, I'd be satisfied with them just making it easier.

My paraphrasing is on point. You want to take some time off, but you don't want to be docked a house for it.

You realize that if 'keep your housing' was removed as an incentive to sub, many people would not sub, costing SE thousands of dollars.

By suggesting SE should forfeit thousands of dollars due to covid, you are indeed asking for something financial.
